The Corvette Racing teams will have to prove their race cars’ worth in the 2025 12 Hours of Sebring when the green flag drops on Saturday. While they didn’t have stellar qualifying sessions, there’s plenty of time during the 12-hour race to make up for what Corvette Z06 GT3.R racers lacked in time trials.
Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports will start right next to each other at Sebring, holding down the third row of the starting grid. The No. 3 Vette of Antonio Garcia will start fifth with the No. 4 Vette of Tommy Milner taking the green right beside him, both sporting special Mobil 1 liveries in honor of the race’s title sponsor.
During qualifying, Garcia laid down a best lap of 1:59.897 at 112.296 mph. He, Alexander Sims, and Daniel Juncadella will tag-team the No. 3 Corvette Racing machine throughout the tough race, but their spirits are high after their runner-up showing during the 2025 Rolex 24.
“I definitely liked the times we were able to start from [the pole] position, but today we probably didn’t have the ultimate pace against the cars ahead of us,” Garcia said. “But I would say car balance isn’t bad, so we kept working throughout yesterday and I think we made progress last night. It was improving, and maybe we tried a few other things in qualifying just to validate or discard toward the race…  It’s not the front row. It’s the third row but I’m sure we can still win this race from there.”
Meanwhile, Salih Yoluc was the fastest Corvette Racing driver in the GTD class with a time of 2:01.814 at 110.538 mph in the No. 36 Vette Z06 GT3.R. Orey Fidani wheeled the No. 13 Vette to a 2:02.274 lap at 110.113 mph. While both of these teams are at a disadvantage starting deep in the field, it might not take them long to fight to the front after qualifying with their Pro-level drivers.
The Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring is scheduled for 10:10 a.m. ET on Saturday, March 15th.
