Three weeks after the official introduction of the upcoming 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V in China, some of the locally built V-Series crossover’s specifications have just been leaked in China.
Authorities in China have released SAIC-GM’s official Future Product Declaration for the upcoming 2026 high-performance Cadillac Lyriq-V for the Chinese market, revealing its specifications for the first time. The documents show that the 2026 Lyriq-V, which is soon to go into production at SAIC-GM Cadillac Jinqiao plant in Shanghai, will boast a unique configuration.
Specifically, the GM joint venture’s future product declaration in China for the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V includes the first real-life images of the model, along with local components and general specs, revealing several distinctions compared to the North American model. In this regard, Cadillac had previously announced that the Lyriq-V will comply with Chinese laws, regulations, and standards.
Leaked images of the China-spec 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V show that it will feature several design tweaks and a less aggressive look than the American version. Changes to the 2026 Lyriq-V for China include a specific front bumper with smoothed lower moldings and more continuous gloss black elements, larger exterior mirrors, and 21-inch wheels instead of the usual 22-inch ones.
The Chinese-market 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V also features a less-powerful dual-motor AWD powertrain than the American model, generating a combined 443 kW or 595 horsepower by adding up the 183 kW front motor and the 260 kW rear motor outputs. In addition, it will use a new SAIC-GM ternary lithium battery. Meanwhile, the U.S.-made Lyriq-V offers an output of 615 horsepower.
The upcoming locally built 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V will debut in China soon, becoming the first Cadillac V-Series vehicle to be officially manufactured and sold in the Asian country. As such, the Lyriq-V will also be Cadillac’s most powerful model ever produced in that country.

The Lyriq doesn’t hold a candle to Chinese EVs.
Give examples….
BYD, especially price to performance ratio. Also their software is light years ahead of GM. They’re probably the best cars in the EV market. They make teslas look ancient. Too bad we can’t get them here yet.
The Chinese evs dont hold a candle to the Lyriq
We don’t live in china so why bring it up
Let’s hope that Cadillac has better luck with ev vehicles than Harley Davidson is. Those are dust collectors in the showroom.
