Chevy TrailBlazer Crashes Garage, Takes Out C3 Corvette And Nova SS

An out-of-control Chevy TrailBlazer racked up a triple Chevrolet pile-up recently, crashing into a garage containing a C3-generation Chevy Corvette and classic Chevy Nova.

The incident occurred in New Castle County, Delaware, around the 4700 block of Mermaid Boulevard. Photos of the incident and a brief recap were posted to social media by the New Castle County Paramedics, providing a little insight into what occurred.

Wreckage left by an out-of-control Chevy TrailBlazer.

According to the post, the incident occurred the evening of Sunday, March 16th, around 7:44 p.m. local time. Paramedics were called to assist the Mill Creek Fire Company in response to a vehicle that had collided with a structure. Medical personnel treated the driver in the striking vehicle while Technical Rescue Paramedics and the Special Operations Team worked on securing the structure. One patient was sent to the hospital for evaluation.

Photos from the scene of the incident show the aftermath of a dramatic collision, with the Chevy TrailBlazer apparently leaving the road at a high rate of speed, crossing the front yard of the impacted house, and crashing through the corner of the garage before coming to rest in the adjacent yard.

The impact looks as though it took out two sides of the garage. Inside, we see a red C3 Corvette (possibly a 1973 model year) resting on top of a blue Chevy Nova (technically a 1966 Chevy II Nova SS). By the look of it, the red Corvette was parked on top of a lift above the blue Nova, with the impact knocking down the lift, resulting in the two classics creating a Chevy sandwich.

Meanwhile, in the background, we also spot a white Toyota Corolla sedan, which appears as though it was spared the majority of the carnage.

The extent of the damage to the Corvette and Nova remains uncertain, as do potential injuries to the occupants of the TrailBlazer. Either way, it seems clear that excessive speed played a role in this particular incident. Stay safe out there, folks.

    1. Have seen this kind of situation before. OUTSIDE chance the driver is completely up manure creek. But better chances that he’s a deadbeat with no job, no insurance, no money, no assets. Hire the best lawyers yet you’ll collect the same: $0.

  4. More than likely a 1973. The key for the burglar alarming is the missing off the rear and the rear bumper is still chrome. Somewhat collectable, but not that collectable.
