In March 2025, Chevy Silverado EV deals include interest-free financing on the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV and low-interest financing on the 2025 Chevy Silverado EV.
Local market leases are available on 2024 and 2025 models of the all-electric full-size pickup truck.
The 2024 Silverado EV RST First Edition does not qualify for the $7,500 U.S. EV tax credit because the MSRP for this particular trim level exceeds the $80,000 maximum set by the Clean Vehicle Credit rules. However, starting price of the 2025 Silverado EV Work Truck (WT) and LT trims fall under that, and so may qualify depending any options and packages chosen that could push the price beyond that max limit.

Comment
On January 25th of 2022, Mary Barra announced investments at the Orion assembly plant and stated that by 2025 (now) GM would have the capacity to build 600,000 EV pickups. She said:
“Today we are taking the next step in our continuous work to establish GM’s EV leadership by making investments in our vertically integrated battery production in the U.S., and our North American EV production capacity. We are building on the positive consumer response and reservations for our recent EV launches and debuts, including GMC HUMMER EV, Cadillac LYRIQ, Chevrolet Equinox EV and Chevrolet Silverado EV. Our plan creates the broadest EV portfolio of any automaker and further solidifies our path toward U.S. EV leadership by mid-decade.
These investments are the latest step toward accelerating GM’s drive to become the EV market leader in North America by 2025. The Orion and Ultium Cells Lansing investments announced today will support an increase in total full-size electric truck production capacity to 600,000 trucks when both Factory ZERO and Orion facilities are fully ramped.”
It goes without saying that this represents a massive miscalculation. Instead of 600,000 units per year, GM is producing less than 10,000 units annually; a total of 9,216 units last year across the Silverado EV and Sierra EV brands.
It stands to reason that this is why there are so many rounds of layoffs and so much cost-cutting going on at General Motors now. They were expecting to sell EV trucks at volumes commensurate with their big-selling internal-combustion-engine counterparts. Instead the retooled Orion is sitting idle and Factory Zero is operating way under capacity.
Much gets written about the colossal blunder the GM W-Body was but these trucks are an error of similarly seismic proportions. It just isn’t being talked about yet.
