Chevy Montana Slams Into Parked Car, Nearly Flattens Pedestrian: Video

A video recently posted to social media shows a pedestrian nearly get flattened by an out-of-control Chevy Montana, only to be saved by a parked Honda crossover.

The incident occurred on February 22^nd, 2025, in Braço do Norte, Santa Catarina, Brazil. The video was captured by security cameras and is about 26 seconds long.

In the video, we see a woman walking alongside a parked Honda crossover. The pedestrian is partly in the road, but still appears to be close to the white lines delineating a parking spot adjacent to the sidewalk. The conditions look to be clear and sunny, with great visibility.

As the video progresses, we see the pedestrian slowly progressing along one side of the Honda. Suddenly, a silver Chevy Montana pickup is seen speeding behind the pedestrian.

The pedestrian has no idea what’s behind her as the Chevy Montana barrels towards her. The pickup looks as though it’s headed right for the unaware pedestrian.

Moments before the Chevy Montana hits the pedestrian, we see the pickup clip the rear of the Honda, sending the crossover lurching forwards. The impact causes the Chevy to leap into the air as it rolls sideways. By the look of it, the impact misses the pedestrian by inches, at most.

Startled and confused, the pedestrian quickly walks back from the crash, unsure exactly what happened. A secondary angle gives us another look at the incident. The impact sends the white crossover directly towards another pedestrian on the sidewalk, but luckily, the Honda stops a few feet short.

It’s a terrifying scene, and absolutely miraculous that neither pedestrian was injured. According to the video description, both pedestrians walked away, and no one else was harmed.

All told, this is definitely a crazy crash that could have ended much, much worse. Indeed, after watching this, it seems clear that the sidewalk is definitely the safer place to be (although only just).
