The GM Authority Take

As has been the case for many years, GM’s best-selling Chevy Tahoe and Suburban duo remained kings of the mainstream full-size SUV segment during Q4 2024. Even better, combined Tahoe and Suburban sales with those of the GMC Yukon and Yukon XL gives The General a dominant 68 percent share of the highly lucrative space.

Even better news is that the refreshed Tahoe and Suburban, along with the Yukon and Yukon XL recently launched. The updated models will likely help GM grow sales further still, strengthening GM’s commanding position in the marketplace.

About Chevrolet Tahoe And Suburban

The refreshed 2025 Chevy Tahoe and refreshed 2025 Chevy Suburban showcase new styling inside and out, suspension improvements, many tech features, plenty of standard features across various trim levels, and a revised diesel engine option.

The new 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine delivers more power and torque than the outgoing 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel. Design changes to the 2025 model finally make that powerplant option available on the Z71 trim level for the first time, which is incidentally the most popular trim for the full-size SUV.

Other updates include new trailering assists and expanded availability of the vaunted GM Super Cruise semi-autonomous driver assistance system, while rear lighting finally goes all-LED.

The refreshed duo also gets nine additional wheel combinations, including first-ever 24-inch alloy options for the two nameplates.
