Cadillac Racing Confident In V-Series.R At Sebring 2025

The three Cadillac Racing teams didn’t have the qualifying results they hoped for at the 2025 12 Hours of Sebring, but history is on their side. Four of the luxury marque’s victories at the event haven’t come from a front-row start.

The fastest Caddy entry – the No. 40 Cadillac V-Series.R of Louis Deletraz – laid down a best lap of 1:48.126 seconds, but even that was only fast enough to place seventh in Friday’s qualifying. He and his codrivers, Jordan Taylor and Brendon Hartley, will have some ground to make up when the green flag falls on the 12-hour race. Deletraz and Taylor visited Victory Lane at the 2024 running of Sebring, so they clearly know the fastest way around the track.

“Not an easy session and I think we all wanted better results, obviously,” Deletraz said. “But qualifying doesn’t really matter at Sebring, it’s all ab out the last three laps of the race. I think we worked mostly on our race car, and we didn’t focus on qualifying. We definitely can still improve. We’re still learning and getting better every time out. We have to look at some data and be fully ready for tomorrow to get a strong race car and a strong night race car and hopefully defend our win.”

Ricky Taylor, Filipe Albuquerque, and Will Stevens will be hot on their heels, starting eighth in the No. 10 Cadillac Racing V-Series.R, thanks to their 1:48.171 lap.

“I think we are learning every time we drive the Cadillac V-Series.R,” said Ricky Taylor. “It’s amazing even with a 15-minute session and this one was hectic for 15 minutes to just have a two-lap sprint to the end. It’s so conditional on what everybody else is trying to do to get clean laps. We can always try to position ourselves better and can’t completely blame the situation. So, it is what it is.”

The No. 31 V-Series.R of Jack Aitken, Earl Bamber, and Frederik Vesti looked fast in practice, but suffered a mechanical issue during its qualifying run. They’ll take the green flag from 13th place.

The 2025 12 Hours of Sebring is scheduled for March 15th at 10:10 a.m. EST. The field will be paced by the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing safety car.

  1. You know what Cadillac? I’m not buying another one of your cars until you sell me a Cadillac V-Series.R (aka the V-LMDh). You keep showing me this thing and making me listen to it but then you won’t let me have it. I don’e even need it to be street legal, I just need it to be for sale. Please. I’m begging you. Stop tormenting me and take my money.
