General Motors’ China joint venture launched the two-tone 2025 Buick Electra E5 in the country as the headline addition to the new model year for the nameplate that was first launched in early 2023. The new customized version further highlights the sculpted lines of the brand’s Pure Design language and will distinguish the 2025 Electra E5 among the plethora of electric utility vehicles on the Chinese market.

In particular, the all-new two-tone 2025 Buick Electra E5 becomes the second Buick model offered with a contrasting two-tone body style designed to meet the preferences of customers looking to express their personality and unique taste. The 2025 Electra E5 follows in the footsteps of the two-tone 2025 Buick LaCrosse launched in China earlier this year and which has been well-received so far.

Skylight & Clouds Edition

Specifically, the two-tone 2025 Buick Electra E5 is based on the entry-level variant of the crossover in China, corresponding to the Pioneer trim level, with an exclusive paint treatment offering a distinctive look compared to the competition. The two-tone Electra E5 body stands out for being split horizontally along the beltline, with a contrasting roof or just a few color accents depending on the combination.

Scarlet City Edition

SAIC-GM offers the two-tone 2025 Buick Electra E5 in five standard combinations, including the limited-edition Orange Wind with a blue body and orange top, Skylight & Clouds with a silver body and black top, Scarlet City with a violet body and black roof, Desert Brown with a brown body and black roof, and Green & Gold with a green body and some gold accents. Customers can also choose their own combination.

Desert Brown Edition

The all-new two-tone 2025 Buick Electra E5 is now available for sale at official Buick dealerships in China, the only country in the world where Buick’s electric crossover is currently manufactured and sold. The brand claims that this new two-tone body scheme further enhances the aesthetic proposition of the Electra E5 and establishes a new “trend paradigm” in the electric crossover market.

Green & Gold Edition

The price of the two-tone 2025 Buick Electra E5 is the same as that of the crossover’s base trim level, set at 169,900 yuan, or about $23,400 USD at the current exchange rate.

  1. Does anyone know why this is not sold in the USA?

    1. mainly due to the Trump tariffs. if they can produce NA units somewhere in NA, then i’m sure it will go on sale, but that’s alot of logistics for them to work through.

  2. This must be Buick’s version of Chevy naming a vehicle “Blazer” when it’s nowhere close to the original.

  3. The black and grey looks OK, but I’m not a fan of the orange and blue. I’d take the solid green over the tone tone. Looks really sharp.

  9. Amazing they can sell this car for the equivalent of 23,400 dollars! No wonder electrics are selling so well in China. If Buick built this same car in the USA, it would probably be about 10,000 more. Of course, the Chinese are being paid pitiful wages, something Americans would rightly not stand for. Unfortunately, no easy solution.
