General Motors is expanding its EV offerings with the launch of two new trims for the GMC Sierra EV, namely the new entry-level Elevation and the off-road-focused AT4. The two new trims will join the GMC Sierra EV Denali for the 2026 model year, broadening the all-electric pickup’s appeal. In addition, the 2026 GMC Sierra EV will also offer a new battery option.
Currently, the 2025 Sierra EV offers two battery options, including the Extended Range pack and the Max Range pack. Now, the 2026 model year will expand the battery options list with the addition of the new Standard Range pack. The new Standard Range battery pack available for the 2026 GMC Sierra EV is tagged with RPO code EWX, with technical specs including a 14-module layout and an estimated capacity of 120 kWh.
The Standard Range battery will be available for the Elevation and Denali trims, while the Extended Range battery will be offered on Elevation, AT4, and Denali. The Max Range option will be exclusive to the AT4 and Denali trims. GM has yet to announce power or torque figures for units equipped with the Standard Range-equipped models. Estimated driving range is also currently unavailable. However, for context, units of the Silverado EV 2WT equipped with a Standard Range battery offer an EPA-estimated 282 miles of range.
The 2026 Sierra EV AT4 is set to launch with several off-road upgrades, including two inches of added ground clearance, standard four-wheel steering with CrabWalk, and 35-inch all-terrain tires. The GM Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance system is standard, while DC fast charging of up to 350 kW is optional, adding approximately 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes.
The 2026 GMC Sierra EV Elevation trim is equipped with a 16.8-inch center touchscreen, a powered eTrunk, the signature MultiPro tailgate with an optional MultiPro MidGate, and 18-inch machine-face wheels with gloss black accents. Options include Super Cruise and 300 kW DC fast charging.
Pricing starts at $64,495 for the Elevation trim with the Standard Range battery. The AT4 starts at $81,395 when equipped with the Extended Range battery. The Denali trim with the Standard Range pack is priced at $71,795. Note that these prices include the $2,095 destination freight charge.
All GMC Sierra EV variants ride on the GM BT1 platform, while production takes place at the GM Factory Zero plant in Michigan.

Smart to put a smaller battery in to bring price down. Hauling loads short distances, I imagine is pretty common
