The Chevy BrightDrop is General Motors’ EV commercial delivery van, designed specifically for fleet and logistics customers. Available in two wheelbase variants, including the short-wheelbase BrightDrop 400 and the longer-wheelbase BrightDrop 600, both vans are powered exclusively by an all-electric powertrain. Now, the launch of the 2026 Chevy BrightDrop brings a few notable upgrades, including a higher-capacity charging module for enhanced recharging efficiency.
Currently, the 2025 BrightDrop is equipped as standard with an 11.5 kW charging module (RPO code K28) across all four configurations (400 FWD, 400 AWD, 600 FWD, and 600 AWD). However, customers looking for faster charging can opt for the 19.2 kW charging module (RPO code K2O) for an additional $1,125.
Now, with the upcoming launch of the 2026 Chevy BrightDrop, the higher-capacity 19.2 kW module will be included as standard equipment, while the 11.5 kW unit will be demoted to an optional feature. The new charging module upgrade should reduce charging times and improve efficiency for fleets operating on tight schedules.
Beyond charging improvements, the 2026 Chevy BrightDrop lineup also introduces a third battery option to provide more flexibility in range and cost. The current Standard Range battery (RPO code ETC) utilizes a 14-module pack, offering a 176-mile range per full charge. The Max Range battery (RPO code ETJ) features a 20-module pack and delivers 286 miles of range. The new Extended Range battery (RPO code EWU) will slot between the two, using a 16-module pack and providing up to 204 miles of range, catering to those customers that need just over 200 miles of driving range, but don’t want to pay for the pricier Max Range battery, the latter of which is only available in AWD configurations.
Performance remains unchanged for 2026, with FWD BrightDrop 400 and 600 models powered by a single-motor setup producing 233 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque. AWD variants are equipped with a dual-motor system generating 300 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque.
Production of the 2026 Chevy BrightDrop is expected to kick off in July.

The Ford version, their transit, cannot make a day delivery before having to get recharged.
I don’t see much if any difference with this van.
