2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL To Offer Many New Paint Colors

General Motors has officially pulled the wraps off the 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL, presenting an extended-body variant of the all-electric Escalade IQ SUV and offering more passenger and cargo space. Beyond the longer dimensions, the new Escalade IQL shares much of its core design and technology with the standard-length Escalade IQ. Even so, the longer IQL offers an expanded selection of paint colors, including several exclusive shades not offered anywhere else in Cadillac’s current lineup.

In total, the 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL offers eight exterior paint options:

  • Adobe Frost
  • Black Cherry Tintcoat
  • Black Raven
  • Deep Space Metallic
  • Luna Metallic
  • Magnus Metal Frost
  • Sandstone
  • Vibrant White Tricoat

With the exception of Black Raven, each of these paint options is available to pair with a black-painted roof, lending the SUV a custom two-tone look. Black Raven is also the only hue offered at no extra charge, and it’s also the only paint option shared with the ICE-based Cadillac Escalade SUV.

Notably, Adobe Frost, Luna Metallic, Sandstone, and Vibrant White Tricoat are new additions to the Cadillac portfolio. Meanwhile, Black Cherry Tintcoat, Black Raven, and Deep Space Metallic are also shared with the Escalade IQ, while the matte-finish Magnus Steel Frost is also available on the 2025 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Petit Pataud Special Edition, the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing Le Monstre Special Edition, and the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V.

Although the Escalade IQL offers a several new colors, it does not offer two hues that are available for the standard-length 2025 Escalade IQ, including Flare Metallic and Midnight Steel Frost. That said, the 2026 Escalade IQ is expected to add Vibrant White Tricoat to the options list.

The 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL lineup features four distinct trim levels, each of which is equipped with the same dual-motor powertrain as the standard-length Escalade IQ. Pricing starts at $132,695 for the base-level Luxury, $133,195 for the Sport, $152,995 for the Premium Luxury, and $153,495 for the Premium Sport, as covered previously.

Providing the motivation is a 24-module, 205 kWh battery pack, delivering 750 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque in Velocity Max mode. The run to 60 mph is completed in 4.7 seconds, while a full charge yields an estimated 460 miles of range.

Like its standard-length sibling, the Escalade IQL rides on the GM BT1 platform and is manufactured at the GM Factory Zero plant in Detroit.

  1. Unfortunately they all look the same. There’s white, three varieties of silver, three tints of black and the southwestern mud inspired Adobe. Honestly that’s not much to pick from on a $150,000 vehicle. A Range Rover, which Cadillac imagines themselves to be competing with, offers 25 compared to Cadillac’s 8 very similar choices.

In 1978, Cadillac’s best sales year, they had 22 colors and they were not all derivatives of silver and black. They offered blues, greens, yellow, browns, and reds and for each exterior color, there were coordinating and different interior colors. The interiors weren’t all black which is why classic Cadillacs are so much more interesting and fun than today’s offerings.

Luxury is about choice but it strikes me that GM builds their Cadillacs with the same lack of customization as a low-priced car.

  4. It’s nice to have all those exterior color choices, but it would also be nice to have several interior color choices. If I recall in 1978 Cadillac offed leather interiors in light blue and Burgundy, as well as black and an. For a couple of years, they even offered a yellow leather interior. Not my taste but it was an option.
