The automaker’s luxury brand officially announced the 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL in Canada as the next member of the Escalade family in North America, where the model has been positioned as the best-selling full-size luxury SUV on the market for more than a decade. The new 2026 Escalade IQL will join Cadillac’s electric vehicle portfolio in the Canadian market during the second half of the year.

“Escalade has been the best-selling luxury full-size SUV in North America since 2014. The Escalade IQL is an important addition to the Escalade franchise and the Cadillac portfolio,” said Vice President Global Cadillac, John Roth. “With the Escalade IQL, Cadillac now offers a full lineup of internal combustion and all-electric Escalade options for our customers, no matter the propulsion,” he added.

Based on the same architecture as the Cadillac Escalade IQ and riding on the same wheelbase, the 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL boasts a longer rear overhang, adding additional passenger and cargo capacity to meet the lifestyle needs of customers who require more space. In fact, Cadillac says the 2026 Escalade IQL was specifically designed to maximize overall space.

In addition to offering more room for third-row passengers, the 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL optimizes cargo space with an additional six cubic feet behind the second or first rows of seats, in addition to secure storage in the large 12.2 cubic-foot eTrunk under the hood. The list of technology and safety features is identical to that of the Escalade IQ.

The first-ever 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL is expected to officially launch in Canada during the second half of calendar year 2025, a few months after assembly begins at the GM Factory Zero plant in Detroit in mid-year. It will be available in Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury and Premium Sport trim levels. The dual-motor powertrain generates a maximum output of 750 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque with the Velocity Max mode activated, fed by a fast-charging 205 kWh battery pack providing a range of 740 kilometers or 460 miles on a single charge.
