The Cadillac Escalade IQ just came out as an all-new model for the 2025 model year, but it’s already getting a slightly tweaked trim structure for 2026. The 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQ will still offer four trims, but the new names are Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury, and Premium Sport.
The trims for the 2025 Escalade IQ were Luxury 1, Sport 1, Luxury 2, and Sport 2. This new trim structure is essentially the same as the old one, but with different names. The old Luxury 2 is now Luxury Premium and the old Sport 2 is now Sport Premium.
Why bother changing the names, you might ask? The reason is to make the 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQ trim structure the same as with the Cadillac Escalade IQL, which is new for the 2026 model year. Similar to the Escalade and Escalade ESV, the Escalade IQL is the bigger, longer, roomier version of the Escalade IQ. The name changes are minor, but they bring continuity to Cadillac’s electric full-size SUVs.
According to sources familiar with the matter, the start of regular production (SORP) for the 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQ is currently scheduled for May 5th, 2025. Production will once again take place at GM’s Factory Zero plant in Michigan. Dealers will be able to start submitting orders as early as March 27th, 2025. As with all production schedules, these dates are tentative and subject to change.
The 2025 Escalade IQ is in U.S. dealerships now, with the first units arriving late last year. While official pricing information for the 2026 model is forthcoming, it’s expected to stay relatively close to pricing for the 2025 model year. For reference, pricing for the 2025 Escalade IQ starts at $129,990 for the Luxury 1 trim and goes up to $150,490 for the Sport 2 variant.
Currently, the 2025 model is equipped with a 200 kWh battery pack, while peak motor output is rated 680 horsepower and 615 pound-feet of torque in Normal Mode and 750 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque in Velocity Max Mode. Those specifications are unchanged for the 2026 model year.
While GM confirmed that starting with the 2026 model year, its electric vehicles would integrate the NACS charging connector standard, the 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQ will continue utilizing the Combined Charging System (CCS) Type 1 port for now.

That’s funny my local Caddy dealer is sitting on 5 IQd and about 30 Lyriqs and my friend who works there said nobody is buying them or even interested in looking at them. Yeah these are hot sellers.
