Despite initial uncertainty over whether or not GM would continue to offer the CT4 sedan in the U.S. market, GM has since confirmed that there will indeed be a 2026 Cadillac CT4. In fact, with the introduction of the 2026 model year, the Cadillac CT4 will debut a few important changes, including notable revisions for the performance-oriented CT4-V. Now, the 2026 Cadillac CT4-V will get several seating and content availability updates.
The 2026 Cadillac CT4-V will once again equip the performance front bucket seats (RPO code AQ9) as standard. However, the previous Inteluxe upholstery in Jet Black with Jet Black accents (RPO code HXR) will be discontinued. In its place, Cadillac will offer leather seating surfaces with mini-perforated inserts as standard, available in two color options (relevant RPO codes included in parentheses):
- Jet Black with Jet Black accents (H2X)
- Sangria with Jet Black accents (H0L)
Another significant change for the 2026 model year is deletion of the high-performance bucket seats (RPO code AQJ). Previously, these seats were available as a $3,000 option on the CT4-V, but they will no longer be offered with the launch of the CT4-V’s 2026 model year.
Additionally, GM will include as standard several features that were previously offered as optional equipment, specifically the content of both the Climate Package (RPO code Y16, previously priced at $1,200) and the Cold Weather Package (RPO code Y26, previously priced at $600). As a result, the following features will be included as standard (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):
- Heated front seats (KA1)
- Heated steering wheel (KI3)
- Ventilated front seats (KU9)
- Driver-side power lumbar massage (AF6)
- Front passenger-side power lumbar massage (AKE)
Under the hood, the CT4-V (excluding the high-performance CT4-V Blackwing) will continue to cradle the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine as standard, delivering 325 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent through the GM 10-speed automatic transmission, which also remains standard. Built on GM’s Alpha 2 platform, 2026 Cadillac CT4-V production will take place the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.

Build it and they will buy. Nice improvements.
The CT4 needs the 2025 CT5 type refresh minus all the computer screens please. Update and improve your sedans GM, instead of killing them (Impala, Cruze, Malibu, etc). The CT4 is a great car but needs updates more than seat changes. Oh…and actually market them instead of the barrage of EV station wagons.
2026 CT5-v BW (if they build them), needs a volume know for the stick and the Sangria interior option color.
For CT4V it’s not much of a change. Previously selecting Leather seats for an extra
cost, generated what is not standard. IMO these are the preferred seats and options.
The net result is probably a higher base price. But no effect if getting the leather seats anyway.
I have a 2020 CT4V, one of the first made. I plan to get a 2026 CT4V to extend gas driving time, while watching what happens with EVs.
