The 2025 Honda Prologue was released on March 3rd, 2025. Normally, a carryover model isn’t very newsworthy, but for 2025, the Prologue gets improved range and performance ratings that put it on par with its closest GM relatives based on the BEV3 platform. Pricing is unchanged from 2024, starting at $48,850 ($51,850 for the dual-motor powertrain) before any tax credits.
An upgraded front power unit is presumably now identical to the one in the Chevy Blazer EV. The Prologue’s new max range rating is 308 miles, and FWD units now produce 220 horsepower and 243 pound-feet of torque. Dual-motor, AWD-equipped Prologue variants get a 294-mile range, 300 horsepower, and 355 pound-feet of torque. For reference, those are the same power and torque ratings as the 2025 Chevy Blazer EV with FWD and AWD, respectively (not counting the 615-hp SS model, of course).
“When the Honda Prologue quickly soared to the top of the EV sales charts as one of the best-selling EVs in America, it was incredibly reassuring to hear buyers tell us the number one reason for their purchase was their trust for the Honda brand,” said Jessika Laudermilk, assistant vice president of Honda National Auto Sales. “For 2025, the Prologue will have even more driving range and power, further improving its class-leading combination of attributes our key competitors can’t match.”
As we’ve reported previously, although all GM electric crossovers combined outsold the BEV3-based Honda Prologue and Acura ZDX, the Honda Prologue achieved higher sales numbers in 2024 than any individual electric model from GM. Now, according to Honda itself, the Prologue’s sales success has much to do with the Honda brand’s trustworthy reputation. Now, with revised performance and range specs and unchanged pricing, the 2025 Honda Prologue is an even more appealing alternative to its GM platform-mates.
With the Ohio-built Honda 0 Series EVs slated to launch in 2026, we expect the Honda Prologue to live out its current generation for a few more years and either be replaced by an in-house Honda design or discontinued entirely. GM and Honda were originally set to co-develop new, more affordable EV models, but those plans have since been called off.
The 2025 Honda Prologue will continue to be built at GM’s Ramos Arizpe assembly plant in Mexico alongside the Chevy Equinox EV, Chevy Blazer EV, and Cadillac Optiq. Production of the similar Acura ZDX takes place in conjunction with the Cadillac Lyriq at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.

300 miles is still pathetic.
