Featuring new truck-like design cues, animated lighting signatures, luxurious interior updates, new tech, and its first-ever enormous 24-inch wheels, the 2025 GMC Yukon shows off its mid-cycle refresh with several new paint colors as well.
These new 2025 GMC Yukon exterior paints include Midnight Pine, which GM Authority is putting in the spotlight here. Three exterior colors were also dropped for the new model year.
Midnight Pine is tagged with color code GBD as well as touch-up paint code WA-229K, and is one of eight exterior colors available on Big Red’s full-size SUV offering. The complete list of paints offered on the model for 2025 is as follows (with color codes in parenthesis):
- Onyx Black (GBA)
- Sterling Metallic (GXD)
- Summit White (GAZ)
- Titanium Rush Metallic (G6M)
- Volcanic Red Tintcoat (GNT)
- White Frost Tricoat (G1W)
- Downpour Metallic (GXP – new for 2025)
- Midnight Pine (GBD – new for 2025)
Midnight Pine is a non-metallic, non-tintcoat color that is available at an extra charge of $495. It can be ordered on the AT4 and AT4 Ultimate trim levels, but is not offered on the Elevation, Denali, or Denali Ultimate trims. The paint can be ordered in conjunction with the single interior colorway offered on each of the AT4 and AT4 Ultimate trims, which include:
- Forest Storm with Mahogany accents
- Obsidian Rush with Red accents
The 2025 GMC Yukon introduced two new trim levels, the Elevation trim that is the new entry-level choice, and the AT4 Ultimate which combines off-road focus and capabilities with luxurious features and interior. The AT4 Ultimate includes an upgrade to the standard L87 engine, the GM Super Cruise (RPO code UKL) semi-autonomous driver assist system as standard, a 15-inch multi-color head-up display (RPO code UV6), massaging front seats (RPO codes AF6 and AKE), and a range of other comfort, safety, and exterior features.
The 2025 GMC Yukon loses the family-friendly 40/20/40 split front bench seat (RPO code AZ3) that increased seating to nine people. However, it gains new appearance packages and updated engine availability across its trim levels. Pricing starts at $68,895 for the RWD Elevation trim and rises to a base MSRP of $103,295 for the 4WD Denali Ultimate, with Yukon XL models priced at $3,000 higher. The model’s online configurator is live.
The 2025 Yukon is motivated by three powerplant choices, specifically the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine rated at 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, the 6.2L V8 L87 cranking out 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, and the 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax developing 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque.
The GM T1 platform continues to provide the bones for the refreshed 2025 Yukon. Meanwhile, production kicked off on October 7th, 2024 at the GM Arlington Assembly plant in Texas, which is also the production site for the Chevy Tahoe, the Chevy Suburban and the Cadillac Escalade.
