For the 2025 model year, the GMC Sierra 1500 receives a subtle yet notable update to one of its most frequently selected options, namely the factory spray-on bedliner. Previously, the branding shown on the bedliner varied depending on the trim level selected. Now, however, that’s no longer the case. With the launch of the 2025 GMC Sierra 1500, all trims now include a GMC logo in the spray-on bedliner, unifying the branding across the lineup.
Prior to the 2025 model year, the branding used in the Sierra’s factory spray-on bedliner (RPO code CGN) differed significantly. Pro trim trucks were equipped with an unbranded liner, while SLE, Elevation, and SLT trims featured a standard GMC logo. The off-road-focused AT4 and AT4X had their own unique logos, while Denali and Denali Ultimate trims included Denali badging.
Now, however, with the launch of the 2025 model year, all units of the GMC Sierra 1500 equipped with the factory spray-on bedliner will have the same GMC-branded design, regardless of trim. The only exception is the Pro trim, which once again includes an unbranded liner.
Trim | 2024 | 2025 |
---|---|---|
Pro | No logo or script | No logo or script |
SLE | GMC logo | GMC logo |
Elevation | GMC logo | GMC logo |
SLT | GMC logo | GMC logo |
AT4 | AT4 | GMC logo |
AT4X | AT4X | GMC logo |
Denali | Denali | GMC logo |
Denali Ultimate | Denali | GMC logo |
This move falls in line with GM’s broader Winning with Simplicity initiative, which is aimed at reducing manufacturing complexity and streamlining options to enhance efficiency and reduce production costs. This change also mirrors a similar update made to the 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500, which now includes a Chevy Bowtie logo in the bedliner across the trim level cadence.
Pricing for the spray-on bedliner is set at $545 when optioned for Pro, SLE, Elevation, and SLT trims. For AT4, AT4X, Denali, and Denali Ultimate trims, a spray-on Bedliner is included as standard equipment. Meanwhile, for those customers looking for an alternative to the spray-on bedliner, GMC offers a drop-in bedliner as well.
Mechanically speaking, the 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 offers four powertrain options, including the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine, the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine, the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, and the 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine. Under the skin, the GMC Sierra 1500 rides on the GM T1 platform, with vehicle production taking place at the GM Fort Wayne assembly plant in Indiana and GM Silao assembly plant in Mexico.
