2025 GMC Sierra 1500 Gets This New 22-Inch Wheel Option

The 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 marks the seventh model year for the fourth-generation pickup, bringing with it a few small refinements. Following a major overhaul for the 2019 model year and a mid-cycle refresh in 2022.5, the 2025 model year introduces changes to paint options and feature availability. In addition, the 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 also offers a new wheel option.

The new roller option for the 2025 GMC Sierra is dubbed the 22-inch Bright split-spoke wheel, and is tagged with RPO code SFU. This wheel is offered as an LPO-level option, which means it’s installed by the dealer, rather than at the factory. Pricing is set at $3,295, with availability for the SLT and Denali trim levels.

At the same time, the Sierra’s 22-inch Bright Chrome split-spoke wheel (RPO code SSI) has been discontinued following the conclusion of the 2024 model year. Previously offered as a $3,695 option on SLT and Denali, the SSI wheel featured a more polished finish with thicker spokes. By contrast, the new SFU wheel has a darker finish and thinner spokes, making for a subtly distinct aesthetic.

Meanwhile, for off-roading enthusiasts, the Sierra AT4X continues to offer the 18-inch Black Face Beadlock-capable wheel with Oxide Gold Decorative Ring (RPO code EU2) as a $3,695 option. However, for 2025, GMC is expanding the customization options for this wheel with the Red (RPO code VYN) and Black (RPO code VYP) decorative rings, available for $1,195 per set. These rings bolt onto the wheels in place of the standard EU2 Oxide Gold rings, allowing for more personalized styling.

As was the case for the 2024 model year, the 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 continues to ride on the GM T1 platform and offers a diverse selection of engines, including the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline TurboMax engine, the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine, the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, and the 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax. Production takes place the GM Fort Wayne plant in Indiana, as well as the GM Silao plant in Mexico.

  1. Either lower the trucks or raise them more, sick and tired of the headlights blinding me in my car at night. Very very annoying.

  2. Already have these wheels on my 18 Denali. They have been an option for almost 2 years at wheel shops. I really like the wheel.
