2025 Corvette Z06: Everything That’s Different Compared To 2024

The 2025 Corvette Z06 represents the third model year of the C8 Z06, for which it receives all kinds of small changes and updates. Let’s take a detailed look at everything that’s new and different about Chevy’s 2025 Corvette Z06 compared to the 2024 model.

Model Cadence

The 2025 C8 Z06 follows the 2023 Corvette Z06, which was the first year of the C8 Z06, and the 2024 Corvette Z06, which saw small changes.

Model Line

The model line doesn’t see any changes for the 2025 model year, continuing with three trim levels and two body styles (product code in parentheses):

Body Styles

  • Coupe with a manually-removable hard top (1YH07)
  • Convertible with a motorized hard top (1YH67)

Trim Levels

  • 1LZ
  • 2LZ
  • 3LZ

Exterior

On the outside, the 2025 Corvette Z06 features a handful of changes, starting with the deletion of seven exterior colors offered on the 2024 Corvette, and the addition of three new ones:

Deleted colors:

  • Ceramic Matrix Gray Metallic
  • Hypersonic Gray Metallic
  • Carbon Flash Metallic
  • Amplify Orange Tintcoat
  • Accelerate Yellow Metallic
  • Silver Flare Metallic
  • Cacti Green

Ceramic Matrix Gray Metallic (discontinued)

Hypersonic Gray Metallic (discontinued)

Carbon Flash Metallic (discontinued)

Amplify Orange Tintcoat (discontinued)

The 2025 Corvette Z06 also gains four new wheel options, while deleting two wheel options offered for the 2024 model.

Deleted wheels:

  • 20-inch front/21-inch rear spider design Satin Graphite forged aluminum wheels (SOC)
  • 20-inch front/21-inch rear spider design machined-face forged aluminum wheels (SOD)

New wheels:

  • 20-inch front/21-inch rear Pearl Nickel forged aluminum wheels (SRK)
  • 20-inch front/21-inch rear Gloss Black forged aluminum wheels (SRN)
  • 20-inch front/21-inch rear Polished forged aluminum wheels (STE)
  • 20-inch front/21-inch rear Bright Polished forged aluminum wheels with Carbon Flash-painted pockets (STX)

Additionally, two fully rendered C8.R premium indoor car covers, both Genuine Corvette Accessories, were removed from the options list. These include the Gray (LPO WL0) and Yellow (LPO WKR) ones.

This leaves two indoor car covers as available for the 2025 model year – the Black premium indoor car cover with crossed flags logo (LPO RWH) and the Galvanized Cool premium indoor car cover with Z06 logo (LPO WKS). Both are Genuine Corvette Accessories.

WKR (discontinued)

Rounding out the exterior changes are new names for the yellow stripes and calipers. The yellow stripes (DT0/DZU) went from being called Edge Yellow to Competition Yellow, while the Yellow-painted calipers (J6E) changed from Edge Yellow to Velocity Yellow.

Mechanical

Mechanically, the 2025 Corvette Z06 doesn’t see any changes. Power continues to come from the naturally-breathing and high-revving 5.5L V8 LT6 engine rated at 670 horsepower at 8,400 RPM and 460 pound-feet of torque at 6,300 RPM. The eight-speed dual-clutch transmission is responsible for shifting duty, sending power exclusively to the rear wheels.

There are, however, a few changes to the way in which the LT6 can be dressed up thanks to the introduction of three Genuine Corvette Accessories. First is the Engine Specification Plaque (LPO SL9), which includes a plaque within the engine bay that contains the Z06 script, engine displacement in liters, power and torque ratings (in horsepower and pound-feet of torque), plus the 12.5:1 compression ratio. The plaque is included with the Engine Appearance Package (B6P on Coupe, ZZ3 on Convertible).

Additionally, Chevy has added the Engine Bay Closeout Graphics (LPO VUP), which includes a C8 graphic on either side of the engine bay. Meanwhile, the Rear Hatch Strut Bracket in Edge Red with the Crossed Flags Logo (LPO SLK) has also joined the lineup. Both the Engine Bay Closeout Graphics and the Rear Hatch Strut Bracket in Edge Red are only available on the Coupe, and not on the Convertible.

Finally, the Engine Lighting (D3V) is now included with the Edge Red engine cover (BCP) and Sterling Silver-painted engine cover (BCS) on Coupe models and with the Coupe Engine Appearance Package (B6P). For the 2024 model year, Engine Lighting (D3V) was optional on Coupe models and was not included when the optional engine covers were selected. As a reminder, the the Coupe Engine Appearance package includes: Carbon Fiber Trim, Engine Lighting (D3V), and the Engine Specifications Plaque.

Interior

The interior of the 2025 Corvette Z06 adds the Habanero interior color (HUW/HUX), which is available only on the 3LZ trim with the GT2 or Competition Bucket seats.

Finally, Blue custom leather stitching for the seats, instrument panel, doors and console, joins the options list. It requires Jet Black interior and is available exclusively on the 3LZ trim.

Where To From Here?

  1. Looks like a clown car from a video game. Not clean looking nor practical. My buddy had a burnt orange C-7. Clean, sleek and practical. The C-3 were clean looking too without all of the gewgaws.

      1. Given the massive commercial success that is the C8, it ultimately does not matter what anyone thinks or says about it.

The market has spoken. The C8 won. Full stop.

  3. Beautiful car. Although… my girl just leaned across the center console in ours to get close, her forearm pressed all the buttons on the bottom of the center console which control the climate controls for her side, instantly both defrosters, seat heater, and everything else there came on lit up . LOL.

    1. I would make the argument that the C8 Z06 is a sports car more than a muscle car… though I would certainly call the C7 Z06 a muscle car more than a sports car. In any event, congrats on yours and enjoy it!

  5. I love everything about my 22 C8. The only thing I hate is the 7,000 mile oii and trans fluid change at $1,200 dollers. I only have 7,100 mi so it will be in two years I have to change.

  6. I only wish I had all the choices that a C-8 offers when I look at buying other high end GM products.

  7. To some, the orange interior trim color might be a stretch. However, it goes with 8 of the 10 colors. I’m including it with purple which might be a stretch without seeing the two colors in the flesh. That said, it does show that color interiors can go with more than one or two exterior colors. So, GM, give us more interior color choices with the other vehicles you produce.
