If you love your C8 Corvette, odds are you’re eager to show it off – including the beauty sitting just behind the cabin. Indeed, when it comes to standing out at the car show, a gussied-up engine bay can make a big difference. To that end, GM is offering a set of revised engine appearance packages for the 2025 Corvette, with updates available for the C8 Stingray, C8 E-Ray, C8 Z06, and even the C8 ZR1. Now, we’re taking a closer look at these packages and what they bring to the table.
For the 2025 Corvette, the Coupe Engine Appearance Package (RPO code B6P) is now priced at $1,695, up from $1,495 for the 2024 model year. The package now includes carbon fiber trim, engine lighting (RPO code D3V, except for the ZR1), and an engine specification plaque (RPO code SL9). By comparison, the previous package only included carbon fiber trim.
Meanwhile, the Convertible Engine Appearance Package (RPO code ZZ3) for the 2025 Corvette now costs $1,095, a slight increase from $995 for the 2024 model year. The Convertible Engine Appearance Package now includes a window under the tonneau cover, a black LT2 engine cover for the Stingray and E-Ray (RPO code BC7), an engine intake for the Z06 and ZR1, and an engine specification plaque (RPO code SL9). Previously, the 2025-model-year package only included the window under the tonneau cover and the engine cover/intake.
Essentially, for a small additional cost, buyers now receive engine lighting (a $100 standalone option for the coupe) and the specification plaque (a $95 standalone option for both the coupe and convertible) as part of the two revised packages.
As for the specs, the C8 Stingray is equipped as standard with the naturally aspirated 6.2L LT2 V8, producing 490 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque. The C8 E-Ray ups the ante with a front-mounted electric motor, which, combined with the 6.2L LT2 V8, delivers a total system output of 655 horsepower. The C8 Z06 is a more track-focused variant that boasts the naturally aspirated 5.5L LT6 V8, rated at 670 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Finally, the top-dog 2025 Corvette ZR1 is powered by the twin-turbocharged 5.5L V8 LT7, rated at 1,064 horsepower and 828 pound-feet of torque.

For 2021 MY for $995 we were offered two lights in the engine bay, nothing fancy, and a couple covers over the sides. A lot of us just bought the two lights and harness for about $150 and installed them, the engine bay does need lighting for basic things like seeing it at night. The lights should be standard equipment. Like on every other Chevy under hood….
If it doesn’t help performance u don’t need it.
Great !! NOW BUILD MY EFFIN CAR I ORDERED IN NOVEMBER !!
