General Motors refreshed its full-size SUV lineup for the 2025 model year, with the 2025 Chevy Suburban debuting a new look both inside and out, as well as updated technology and a new diesel engine option. In addition to these changes, GM also increased the MSRP figures across the trim lineup, as GM Authority covered previously. Even so, the real cost jumps come with the optional engine upgrades.
Lining up pricing data between the 2025 Chevy Suburban and 2024 Chevy Suburban, some of the smallest price increases are for trims equipped with the standard 5.3L V8 L84, including the LT with 2WD or 4WD, which sees a price increase of only $300. Notably, High Country trims equipped with the standard 6.2L V8 L87 show an increase of $2,300.
However, as soon as you start upgrading to one of the optional engines, pricing can skyrocket. For example, Premier trims optioned with the 6.2L V8 L87 and 4WD are a whopping $9,860 more expensive than equivalent configurations offered for the 2024 model year. The Premier trim with the 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine and 4WD isn’t far behind, with pricing up by $9,810 between model years, while Premier trims equipped with the 6.2L V8 L87 and 2WD are up by $9,735.

Likewise, the 3.0L I6 LZ0 Duramax requires selecting either the Technology and Entertainment Package, Max Trailering Package (RPO code NHT), Enhanced Trailer View (RPO code ZM1), or Sun and Tow Package (RPO code PCU), once again depending on the trim.
