The automaker’s General Motors Specialty Vehicles (GMSV) subsidiary is rolling out the 2025 Chevy Silverado HD with some updates in its domestic markets of Australia and New Zealand, where the heavy-duty truck is positioned as the brand’s flagship pickup with the most capabilities and highest equipment levels in the region. As such, the 2025 Silverado HD for both countries receives more customized design tweaks and trim.

“The Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD has been updated for MY2025, affirming its position as GMSV’s flagship pickup truck with a series of style and design updates,” said Communications Department of GM Australia and New Zealand. “Key among the MY25 changes are a new-look exterior and personalization improvements,” the company added.

In particular, the 2025 Chevy Silverado HD in its 2500 HD variant goes on sale in the Australian and New Zealand markets with an updated configuration that now includes the standard LTZ trim level – without the previous Premium package – with a bolder look. The changes range from a refreshed exterior with black bumpers, red rescue hooks and new 20-inch gloss black alloy wheels with black hubcaps.

Additionally, the 2025 Chevy Silverado HD exterior color palette has expanded from four to six different shades, including three all-new colors, including Cypress Gray, Radiant Red, Sterling Gray Metallic, Summit White, Lakeshore Blue, and Black. The Silverado 2500 HD continues to blend capability with luxurious comfort, featuring heated and ventilated leather seats, a heated leather steering wheel, a power sunroof, and plenty of technology.

The updated 2025 Chevy Silverado HD is now available for sale at GMSV’s Australian and New Zealand dealer network, where all units are remanufactured in right-hand drive and equipped as standard with the 6.6L V8 L5P turbodiesel Duramax engine, developing 470 horsepower and 975 pound-feet of torque, mated to the GM 10-speed automatic transmission. Pricing for the 2025 Silverado HD LTZ has also been updated and is as follows:

  • Australia: 166,500 AUD (about $105,500 USD at current exchange rates)
  • NZ: 178,500 NZD ($103,400 USD)
