2025 Chevy Silverado EV Gets New Blue Smoke Metallic Color: First Look

Among the five new exterior paints the 2025 Chevy Silverado EV introduces to the model, Blue Smoke Metallic is the darkest hue, adding a slate blue-gray option to the palette buyers can choose from.

This is GM Authority‘s guide to the Blue Smoke Metallic color for the 2025 Chevy Silverado EV, one of the colors expanding exterior options beyond the two – black and white – offered in 2024.

Among the seven exterior colors offered on the 2025 Chevy Silverado EV, Blue Smoke Metallic is identified by color code GAI as well as touch-up paint code WA-223K. The list below shows all of the tints that can be selected for the EV pickup:

  • Black (GBA)
  • Blue Smoke Metallic (GAI – new for 2025)
  • Habanero Orange (GAG – new for 2025)
  • Riptide Blue Metallic (GJV – new for 2025)

A no-charge color that can be chosen with no addition to price, Blue Smoke Metallic is a metallic, non-tintcoat paint that is available exclusively on the LT trim level. It is not offered on the Work Truck (2WT, 5WT, 8WT) or RST trims.

The LT has only a single interior colorway available, so Blue Smoke Metallic can be matched to it. The 2025 Chevy Silverado EV offers the following interior colorways across its trim level lineup, as a reminder:

  • Jet Black, Evotex
  • Black / Sky Cool Gray, Evotex

Several optional appearance packages are offered for the 2025 Chevy Silverado EV to provide black nameplates, dark wheels, and decals. They include the Black Package Plus (RPO code PDK) for the LT trim and the Dark Package RST (RPO code PDL) for the RST trim level. For those who want a multifunctional audio-equipped tailgate, there is the Gameday Tailgate Package (RPO code PDH). Six wheel styles are on offer for 2025.

As for the 2025 Silverado EV’s price, MSRP starts at $75,195 for the LT Extended Range and rises to $89,395 or $97,895 for the RST trim level with Extended Range or Max Range. The configurator is live on the Bow Tie brand’s website for builds and ordering.

GM’s battery technology and GM drive motor technology motivate the truck, which is equipped with AWD on all trim levels. The Chevy Silverado EV continues to ride atop the GM BT1 platform, while the pickup rolls off the assembly line at the GM Factory Zero plant in Michigan.

  2. Habanero Orange paint code is GAG. Too funny.

  3. Looks simular (internet spelling) to a gray blue that was popular in the early to mid-2000’s. Of course, the vehicle it’s sprayed on is infinitely more expensive and less useful than those older trucks.
