The 2025 Chevy Silverado HD debuts several notable updates over the refreshed 2024 model year, including the new Silverado HD Trail Boss off-roader. Further updates include fresh aesthetic options, such as a 22-inch wheel option for the 2500 HD. Now, GM Authority is taking a closer look at the 2025 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD’s new roller, including pricing and availability.
The new wheel option is dubbed the 22-inch Bright Finish Aluminum Wheel (RPO code SAY), and is offered an LPO-level upgrade, meaning it is installed by the dealer, rather than at the factory. Trucks ordered with this optional wheel are equipped from the factory with temporary steel wheels, while the truck’s suspension is aligned for the upgraded LPO wheels. The LPO-level wheels are shipped separately.
The new 22-inch Bright Finish Aluminum Wheel is available for LT, LTZ, and High Country trims. Pricing, however, isn’t cheap, with GM setting a price tag of $5,375.
While expensive, the new wheel option does look quite good, with a flashy finish that’s likely to draw a few stares. The wheel incorporates an intricate, multi-spoke layout with a Y-shaped formation. The design also includes, recessed angular cutouts between the spokes, adding a degree of visual depth to the aesthetic. At the center, the Chevrolet Bowtie emblem is prominently displayed. Surrounding the center cap are eight lug nuts.
As a reminder, the 2025 Chevy Silverado HD continues to offer two engine choices, starting with the standard-spec 6.6L V8 L8T gasoline engine, rated at 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque, and followed by the optional 6.6L V8 L5P turbodiesel Duramax engine, rated at 470 horsepower and 975 pound-feet of torque. Under the skin, the Chevy Silverado HD rides on a more-capable variant of the GM T1 platform, while vehicle production takes place at the GM Oshawa plant in Canada and GM Flint plant in Michigan.
