Customers who purchase a new 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500 may notice a small change to the branding used in their vehicle’s spray-on bedliner. Previously, the logo used in the Silverado 1500 bedliner differed between the various trim levels. Now, with the launch of the latest 2025 model year, the Silverado’s spray-on bedliner includes a consistent logo across all trim levels.
Prior to the 2025 model year, the Chevy Silverado 1500’s factory Chevytec spray-on bedliner (RPO code CGN) was available with four different branding variations on the front wall of the bed. WT and Custom trims were equipped with an unbadged bedliner, while Custom Trail Boss, LT, RST, LT Trail Boss, and LTZ trims were offered with a bedliner that included a Chevy bowtie. Meanwhile, the ZR2 and High Country trims offered a bedliner with their own unique logo.
Now, however, Silverado 1500 customers who opt for the factory spray-on bedliner will get a Chevy bowtie logo, regardless of the trim level selected.

The decision to offer a uniform bedliner design across the 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500 lineup aligns with GM’s Winning With Simplicity initiative, which focuses on streamlining product variations to reduce engineering and manufacturing complexity, while improving efficiency and cost savings.
As for pricing, the Chevytec spray-on bedliner costs $545 for WT, Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT, and LT Trail Boss trims. For RST, the Chevytec spray-on bedliner is available exclusively via the Protection Package, priced at $685. The Chevytec spray-on bedliner is also standard equipment on ZR2 and High Country trims.
Meanwhile, customers looking for an alternative to the spray-on bedliner can opt for a drop-in bedliner instead.

Too bad they don’t win with simplicity and reduce management and get rid of the top three positions!
GM’s “Winning with Simplicity” equals fewer differences between trim levels, fewer option choices, fewer color choices and hopefully fewer customers for GM so they stop building what they want and start building what the customer wants.
“Winning with simplicity”, all while the price goes up and higher and higher, the customer certainly isn’t winning, I wonder who is?
Mary is.
I wonder how many meetings and emails going back and forth it took to figure this out. Wow consistency through out the brand who would have thought. Simple cost analyst would have showed this before it went into production.
Probably the only add-on that is cheaper from gm than the aftermarket, unless you DIY or know someone.
BRAINSTORMING
Does the price go down? Of course not. How about doing something for end users like making engines that actually last through the warranty period.
The “Drop-In” bed liner voids the bed corrosion warranty. Read the owners manual.
