2025 Chevy Colorado Configurator Live

The 2025 Chevy Colorado debuts a variety of important updates for the midsize pickup, including the discontinuation of the base turbocharged 2.7L I4 L2R engine, as well as an array of additional standard features. However, potential buyers eager to configure their ideal truck have faced multiple delays in accessing Chevrolet’s online configurator tool. Now, after several postponements, the 2025 Chevy Colorado configurator is finally live on Chevrolet’s website.

The 2025 Chevy Colorado configurator tool is finally live.

The launch of the 2025 Colorado configurator has been a long time coming. Initially, the tool was scheduled to go live on November 27th, 2024, but was then pushed back to December 16th, 2024. However, it again failed to launch in December, prompting Chevrolet to announce a new window of March to April, 2025. Now, buyers can officially explore and build their 2025 Chevy Colorado using the online tool.

The starting price for each trim level is as follows:

  • Work Truck (WT): $33,495 (RWD or 4WD)
  • LT: $37,395 (RWD or 4WD)
  • Trail Boss: $41,395 (4WD only)
  • Z71: $45,395 (4WD only)
  • ZR2: $51,195 (4WD only)

Critically, these figures represent a pricing increase compared to the 2024 model year, with the WT up by $2,100 after recent 2024 Chevy Colorado MSRP hikes. The LT is up by $3,600, the Trail Boss is up by $2,200, the Z71 is up by $3,300, the ZR2 is up by $2,500 and the ZR2 Bison is up by $2,055. One of the most significant changes for the 2025 model year is the discontinuation of the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L2R engine, which previously served as the base powerplant and was rated at 237 horsepower and 259 pound-feet of torque. Now, all 2025 Chevy Colorado units are exclusively equipped with the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B engine, which produces 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque.

The 2025 Chevy Colorado also debuts three new paint options, more specifically:

  • Snowdrift Metallic (GAE)
  • Reef Blue Metallic (GAL)
  • Sunrise Orange (GBF)

As was the case for the 2024 model year, the 2025 Chevy Colorado is built on the updated 31XX-2 platform, while vehicle production continues to take place at the GM Wentzville plant in Missouri.

  1. Don’t worry. They’ve raised prices and reduced options, including eliminating the optional steel drive shaft.

  2. I went in and built a few versions of trucks I would want, starting with a WT Custom. I came away absolutely gobsmacked at the prices gm is asking for even the most basic versions. I have to conclude I made the right choice in buying my Maverick. To many, it is the only game in town for a truly small truck with high function across many scenarios. I am averaging 27.3 MPG so far, with 1700 miles on a 2.0t AWD.

  3. The color options are awful. Who the heck is running the GM marketing department, a thirteen year old girl? I really like the looks of the 3rd gen Colorado over the Ranger but the Ford colors are much better and the Bronco colors even better than the Ranger. GM needs to pull their heads out of their rears and bring back what has worked for the last 30+ years: hunter green, dark blue metallic, burnt copper. All the new colors just look terrible on this truck. Only good thing is my local DOT can buy the sunrise orange and save money on a repaint since it already matches their exsiting fleet.
