2025 Chevy Blazer EV SS Now Arriving At U.S. Dealerships

First teased in 2022 as a 2024 model, the Chevy Blazer EV SS has finally arrived as a 2025 model. The online configurator for the 2025 Chevy Blazer EV SS went live in November, the first ordering cycle began in December, and now the high-performance electric crossover is arriving on dealer lots across the United States.

Dealers often list cars on their websites with stock images as placeholders as the car is in transit. However, we’ve found a few Chevy Blazer EV SS models for sale with real-world photography, meaning the car is on the dealer lot, in the flesh, ready for its first owner to come buy it.

The one you see above is listed for sale by Jennings Chevrolet in Glenview, Illinois. It has a tasteful color scheme with Black (color code GBA) paint and a Black/Medium Ash Gray with Argon Orange accents (EMK) interior.

Another one is this example for sale at Tim Lally Chevrolet in Cleveland, Ohio. This one is finished in Sterling Gray Metallic (GXD) with a Black Roof (41T) and the same interior color as the Black model above but with a more thorough interior photo gallery.

So, if you’ve been considering the Chevy Blazer EV SS but wanted to test drive one before buying, examples will likely be popping up on dealer lots near you very soon. There might be a few already.

In other Chevy Blazer EV SS news, Chevy gave it a last-minute output boost to 615 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, putting it on par with the Cadillac Lyriq-V and 2026 Cadillac Vistiq. When the Blazer EV SS was first announced, we were promised 557 horsepower and 648 pound-feet. When Wide Open Watts (WOW) Mode is engaged, Chevy claims a 0-60 mph time of just 3.4 seconds.

In addition to the SS model joining the lineup, 2025 marks the introduction of the FWD Blazer EV, available in LT or RS trims priced at $45,995 and $51,295, respectively. The RS trim is the only one available in FWD, RWD, and AWD configurations.

Like all Blazer EV variants, the SS model rides on the GM BEV3 platform. GM Ultium batteries provide juice to a set of GM Ultium Drive motors. Production takes place at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico.

  1. Here they go again, bastardizing the SS model with a Blazer. They stop production on the only real SS the Camaro.GM needs some shuffling of the upper management and stop using the SS indiscriminately on SUV’s.ev,s no less🥵

    1. 100% !!! They can’t build the sold orders they have of the other cars and spun this one around in record time?? Mary needs to go as does the board.

    2. Frank WTF are you talkng about? The 90s era Chevy 454 SS truck, the 2000s Silverado and Trailblazer SS, let’s not for the Coblat SS, the HHR SS, the Chevy SS sedan, even the little Equinox with the old 2.0t had a redline model basically and SS with another name. About the current Camaro I think people just got tired of retro 60s styling then engines where good I’d like to see a modern version of the 80s Camaro for my generation. IMHO SS can be used on any vehicle as long as it has the performance to back up the SS badge!

  2. This car can destroy the old SS. Why is that considered Bastardizing. What oil company do you work for?

  3. Wish this had a twin turbo V6 in it. Then I’d consider it for the wife.

    1. @TNTSIERRA actually GM had a prototype Blazer SS with a twin turbo V6…but it never got the green light to be built 😔. Hey Mark I’ll take this EV over a fake Charger/Challenger EV. Then again I stay away from Chrysler products my friend has a near mint 2016 RAM with like 60,000 miles on it that thing is in the shop for recalls all of the time.

      1. LOL. Or something that doesn’t look like a 10+ year old Honda.

  6. Arriving at dealerships just to collect lots of dust and dirt while sitting unsold.

    1. GM EVs are selling and their days sitting on the lot is short.

  8. Mary says too bad for you. Even if I make poor decisions, I don’t care because my stock bonus is huge along with my incredible salary. I’m sure glad those mean men aren’t running things anymore.

  9. So many negative comments.it’s sad.no it does not look like any Honda. It’s much more aggressive which I like. The Honda variant of this is reserved in its styling. GM is the number two selling of electric cars and Tesla is going down the rips. This anti electric car sentiment is so old. Let people buy what they like and you can spend all your money on gas

    Reply
    1. spend money on gas?? You and all of us will be long dead by the time to you save enough “gas money” from buying an EV. We’ll go farther and faster on a tank of gas, in shorter time, than you will in an EV – while you “wait” to charge. Oh and forget about seeing your family in Minnesota in the Winter – you’ll go about 10 miles on a charge. Then take $65,000 and you’ll never live long enough to recoup that money — on top of a monthly payment and you sure can buy a sht load of gas that over 50 years, you wouldn’t have spent $65k in gas, let alone the REAL damage EV’s do to the earth all you environmentalists claim.

      1. Hey Mark so you’ll get all of your moneys worth out of let’s say a $70,000 to $110,000 dollar Tahoe or suburban that gets in the real world maybe 20mpg and we own a vehicle with 3.6 V6 the fuel mileage is not really great. I’m not supporting EVs or ICE but people should be given a choice it’s their money to spend it how they want…even Trump said EVs aren’t going away he just doesn’t want them to be mandatory by 2035 thank God. No we need hybrids.

  10. SS: Super Sport, V8 sound and coolness. A vehicle called a Super Sport with no ICE sound is not the same. But, hey, people will think what they want and buy the car that they think is cool. Oh well.

  13. Love it. Same 0-60, torque and driving range as a ‘24 Camaro ZL1, but it’s $7,000 cheaper and carries 4 large adults in extreme comfort and has a bunch of cargo room.
