Four months after opening pre-orders for the model in Australia, General Motors has just announced that it’s now taking orders for the 2025 Cadillac Lyriq in New Zealand.
The automaker’s subsidiary in Oceania announced the official order period for the 2025 Cadillac Lyriq in New Zealand, where the luxury brand began to fully deploy its marketing strategy and sales structure for its latest generation of zero-emission vehicles. From February 28th to the end of March, interested customers will be able to reserve their 2025 Lyriq unit on the official Cadillac NZ website.
“The Cadillac Lyriq isn’t just a game-changing vehicle to drive, it’s a game-changing vehicle to own too,” said GM Australia and New Zealand Managing Director, Jess Bala. “With GM’s battery technology and great driving range, it’s a vehicle ready explore New Zealand, and we wanted to design an ownership package that would help you do exactly that, whether you’re charging at home, or taking advantage of the country’s expanding charging infrastructure,” she added.
As the company previewed last year, the 2025 Cadillac Lyriq is coming to New Zealand in two well-equipped variants corresponding to the Luxury and Sport trim levels with dual-motor all-wheel drivetrains. Both 2025 Lyriq variants available to local customers in that country offer performance, an outstanding driving range and a full suite of luxury features.
In particular, both versions of the 2025 Cadillac Lyriq for New Zealand come standard with two electric motors, one mounted on each axle, which develop a combined output of 388 kW or 520 horsepower and 610 Nm or 450 pound-feet of torque. The powertrain is fed by a 102 kWh GM battery pack with an advanced fast-charging system, providing a range of 530 km or 329 miles between charges, according to the WLTP cycle.
The 2025 Cadillac Lyriq is now available to order in New Zealand until March 31st, after which Cadillac will begin scheduling the first deliveries of the electric crossover in Oceania’s second-largest country. Additionally, the luxury brand is offering special benefits for those who pre-order their Lyriq, including free charging credits and a locally manufactured 7.4 kW Evnex E2 home charger.
