All but the V-Series models went up by $505, while the Escalade-V and Escalade-V ESV each received a $2,505 increase. This price bump coincides with similar mid-model-year price increases for the Chevy Tahoe, Chevy Suburban, and GMC Yukon, which all share the GM T1 platform.

These price changes bring the new base price of the 2025 Cadillac Escalade up to $90,095 for the standard wheelbase and $93,095 for the long-wheelbase Escalade ESV. This marks the first time in the Escalade’s 26-year history that its starting price has crossed $90k (including destination charges). The ESV models still cost $3,000 more than their standard-wheelbase counterparts across the board. Also, 4WD is still a $3,000 option on every trim except the V-Series.

Speaking of the Escalade-V, its new starting price is $164,495. Cadillac can afford to give the Escalade-V an extra price bump compared to the rest of the Escalade lineup since there’s truly nothing else like it in its class. This high-performance SUV powered by the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4, making 682 horsepower, was never bargain-priced, but its starting price has now gone up by almost nine percent since it was introduced for the 2023 model year.

We recently reported that, according to the latest data, average transaction prices for the Cadillac brand have shot up by a factor of 19 percent year over year. The number was $84,913 in January 2025. Much of that growth was likely driven by the Escalade, as well-heeled buyers become more willing to spend six-digit sums on America’s best-selling full-size luxury SUV.

As for the rest of the full-size luxury SUV class, the starting price of the Cadillac Escalade hasn’t changed its position in the marketplace. Looking at the Escalade’s two closest rivals, the Jeep Grand Wagoneer starts at $86,945, and the Lincoln Navigator begins at $101,990, with the Caddy in between. Interestingly, the pricing of the Jeep Grand Wagoneer went in the opposite direction in the 2025 model year, giving it the lowest starting price in its class.

  1. Having driven all three of these, I cannot put the Jeep in the same class of vehicle. I was close to choosing the Navigator, because I thought the seats were amazing (and I still do). Went with Escalade Sport and like it a lot. Wife went a whole other direction and got a Lexus LX700H, which I have to admit, I love.

  2. These price increases will ensure that Cadillac Escalade sales will remain low, and total Cadillac sales will struggle to reach 100,000/year. Buyers should wait for rebates of $20,000+ before overpaying for these vehicles.

  3. LIKE GM isn’t high enough already for their cars. Only way to stop the increases is to put a hurt on their sales. $164K for a truck — even $100k for a truck — they’re still TRUCKS no matter how much dressing you put on them.

  4. Buy a Suburban and save some dough as they’re the same vehicle.
