The 2025 Cadillac CT5-V heralds a mid-cycle refresh for the luxury performance sedan marque, with a new front fascia, refreshed cockpit and new tech among its main updates. The sedan also drops two exterior paint colors, Black Diamond Tricoat (color code GLK) and Velocity Red (color code G7C), while adding three new ones.
One of these three new exterior paints for the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V is the Typhoon Metallic color, the details of which GM Authority is putting in the spotlight here.
Typhoon Metallic is tagged with color code GBW and touch-up paint code WA-235K. It is one of the nine paint colors offered for the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V, all of which are listed below for reference:
- Argent Silver Metallic (GXD)
- Black Raven (GBA)
- Coastal Blue Metallic (GJV)
- Cyber Yellow Metallic (GCP)
- Radiant Red Tintcoat (GNT)
- Summit White (GAZ)
- Deep Space Metallic (GAI – new for 2025)
- Drift Metallic (GAE – new for 2025)
- Typhoon Metallic (GBW – new for 2025)
As its name suggests, Typhoon Metallic is a metallic exterior paint choice, but is not a tintcoat color. It is offered for an extra charge of $625 and can be combined with all interior colorways offered on the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V.
As a reminder, the following five interior colorways are offered for the 2025 CT5-V sedan:
- Jet Black with Jet Black accents, Inteluxe
- Jet Black with Jet Black accents, Leather with Mini-Perforated inserts
- Whisper Beige with Jet Black accents, Leather with Mini-Perforated inserts
- Sedona Sauvage with Jet Black accents, Full Semi-Aniline Full Leather
- Jet Black with Jet Black accents, Leather
Among the other changes introduced for the 2025 model year, the Cadillac CT5-V sedan features a grille with a chrome lower grille surround, similar to the Cadillac CT5 sport and unlike the expected all-black grille from the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing. The heated driver and front passenger seats (RPO code KA1) and heated steering wheel (RPO code KI3) features are now equipped as standard for 2025, while the Platinum Package (RPO code PCJ) has been revised to include a greater number of features.
Pricing for the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V starts at $58,390 for the rear-wheel drive configuration, while base MSRP for the all-wheel drive variant is set at $60,390. These prices include a destination freight charge of $1,395. The official configurator for the model is live, enabling customers to try out builds and configure orders.
GM Authority has been able to confirm that there will be a 2026 Cadillac CT5 well, though the current sedan lineup’s days may well be numbered with Caddy’s aggressive push to electrify its full range. In the meantime, you can check out GM Authority’s video about the 2025 CT5-V here.
The 2025 Cadillac CT5-V is motivated by the twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 LGY gasoline engine developing 360 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque and rides on the GM Alpha 2 platform. It continues to be produced at the GM Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant in Michigan.

Man, that’s an ugly green!
It looks far better in person than in these photos.
I just saw one at Sebring last week and looks better in person.
It would look great with the Sedona Sauvage interior
I hope when GM pulls the plug on these ICE sedans, they at least give us a years notice so that those who want one will still be able to customize their vehicle instead of being stuck with whatever is left on the dealership lots.
Should offer tu-tone green to look even better. Also offer other tu-tone color combos
What a unique green color and love it 💚
Just wish the CT5-V came with the NA 6.2L V8 massaged to produce 475hp (up from 460HP) followed by a CT5-V Supercharged with the 6.2L SC V8 producing around 580HP (from the discontinued Camaro ZL1). These two V8 engines could bridge the gap to the monster CT5-V Blackwing with its 682HP 6.2L SC V8 engine.
And GM should employ the mid-range 580HP supercharged V8 engine in an Escalade V-Sport and also the Tahoe RST Supercharged and Yukon Denali Ultimate Supercharged.
That would be such a hot V8 engine line-up outside the Corvette brand 🔥🔥🔥🔥
If the ct4 bw had the 6.2 from the stingray I would buy one immediately. I can’t afford a ct5 bw so a ct4 with that engine would be perfect.
Any color is a welcome improvement above gray, black and silver.
Looks cheap with Black wheels.
