2025 Cadillac CT5-V Gets New Drift Metallic Color: First Look

Refreshed with an exterior styling overhaul, a reworked interior and new tech features, the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V also retires two paint colors, Black Diamond Tricoat (color code GLK) and Velocity Red (color code G7C), with three new exterior tints joining the palette in their stead.

Drift Metallic is one of these new 2025 Cadillac CT5-V exterior paint colors. Here, we’re looking at all the relevant details for this new color choice.

Color code GAE and touch-up paint code WA-220K are used to identify the new Drift Metallic color. This exterior paint joins the eight other paint colors that can be optioned on the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V, and which are listed here for your convenience:

  • Argent Silver Metallic (GXD)
  • Black Raven (GBA)
  • Coastal Blue Metallic (GJV)
  • Cyber Yellow Metallic (GCP)
  • Radiant Red Tintcoat (GNT)
  • Summit White (GAZ)
  • Deep Space Metallic (GAI – new for 2025)

A metallic, non-tintcoat paint color, Drift Metallic is a light blue color with a grayish tinge in certain lighting conditions. It is an extra-charge color choice that is available for an additional $625 and can be combined with all the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V interior colorways.

For reference, the interior colorways of the 2025 CT5-V include the following combinations of color and material:

  • Jet Black with Jet Black accents, Leather with Mini-Perforated inserts
  • Whisper Beige with Jet Black accents, Leather with Mini-Perforated inserts

Moving beyond Drift Metallic, the grille of the 2025 CT5-V is not an all-black feature like that found on the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing as originally expected. Instead, it has a chrome lower grille surround accenting the black grille itself. Standard for 2025 in the cockpit are heated driver and front passenger seats (RPO code KA1) and a heated steering wheel (RPO code KI3). More content has been added to the Platinum Package (RPO code PCJ) as well.

As GM Authority initially uncovered, 2025 Cadillac CT5-V prices range from the RWD variant’s $58,390 starting MSRP to the $60,390 of the AWD sedan. The $1,395 destination freight charge GM levies on the vehicle is already included in these prices, while we can use the online configurator to test out our own preferred build. Prices are up largely due to more standard tech.

The 2026 Cadillac CT5 is indeed in the GM product pipeline, showing there is at least a little life remaining in the nameplate despite the brand’s ongoing transition to EVs. We also have a 2025 CT5-V video so you can check out all the features and changes of the model.

Under the hood, the twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 LGY gasoline engine rated at 360 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque is cradled by the CT5-V. The GM Alpha 2 platform provides the underpinnings, while the sedan’s production takes place at the GM Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant in Michigan.
