Three new paint colors join the palette of the refreshed 2025 Cadillac CT5-V while two previously available colors – Black Diamond Tricoat (color code GLK) and Velocity Red (color code G7C) – get axed. The refresh also brings in new front fascia and exterior design, an overhauled interior and new tech features.
Deep Space Metallic is one of the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V paints added to the sedan’s color lineup for the new model year, and is put under the magnifying glass here for various pertinent details.
Typhoon Metallic bears the color code GAI and touch-up paint code WA-223K. It is included among the nine exterior paints the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V sedan can be ordered with. The list presented here gives a full run-down of all colors currently on offer:
- Argent Silver Metallic (GXD)
- Black Raven (GBA)
- Coastal Blue Metallic (GJV)
- Cyber Yellow Metallic (GCP)
- Radiant Red Tintcoat (GNT)
- Summit White (GAZ)
- Deep Space Metallic (GAI – new for 2025)
- Drift Metallic (GAE – new for 2025)

Deep Space Metallic is a non-tintcoat color, though it is a metallic paint with included metallic flake. The color is dark gray in the shade, with dark steel blue tones appearing in the Deep Space Metallic paint when sunshine illuminates it. Gold metallic flake provides additional visual interest. It is an extra-charge option priced at $625 and can be ordered in conjunction with any interior colorway available for the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V.
Notably, five interior colorways can be ordered for the sedan, with colors and upholstery shown below:
- Jet Black with Jet Black accents, Inteluxe
- Jet Black with Jet Black accents, Leather with Mini-Perforated inserts
- Whisper Beige with Jet Black accents, Leather with Mini-Perforated inserts
- Sedona Sauvage with Jet Black accents, Full Semi-Aniline Full Leather
- Jet Black with Jet Black accents, Leather
Looking at other 2025 changes, the Platinum Package (RPO code PCJ) has been revised to include additional features and content for the 2025 CT5-V. On the interior, the sedan will now equip heated driver and front passenger seats (RPO code KA1) and a heated steering wheel (RPO code KI3) as standard. For the exterior, the all-black grille of the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is not used as originally anticipated, but the same as the CT5 Sport – a black grille with the lower grille surround in chrome.
Pricing for the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V is $58,390 at the low end for the sedan with the RWD drivetrain. The AWD CT5-V is priced at $60,390 to start. The prices are inclusive of the model’s standard $1,395 destination freight charge. The configurator is also live currently.
GM has verified that there will be a 2026 Cadillac CT5 after the 2025 model year. How far the nameplate will survive into the future remains in doubt because of the brand’s electrification plans. Meanwhile, check out the GM Authority video about the 2025 CT5-V here.
The 2025 Cadillac CT5-V is powered by a single powerplant choice, the twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 LGY gasoline engine cranking out 360 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque. Found beneath the body panels for structure is the GM Alpha 2 platform. The GM Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant in Michigan is the site of production for the CT5-V.

“How far the nameplate will survive into the future remains in doubt because of the brand’s electrification plans.”
Electrification won’t kill this car, the horrible color palette will. 3rd year in a row I haven’t bought a new Blackwing because the colors offered are atrocious.
Yeah… That’s why I refuse to buy one and have it painted or wrapped to the specific color I’m waiting for. 🤦
Looks like a base Chevy 1500 W/T…..
Waiting for “Amish Buggy Rural Pennsylvania Midnight Black” .
Have you seen the colors available on ChiCom’s BYD’s ?
Like a roll of Necco Wafers !
America? … a Funeral Procession .
More than half the colors offered are not funeral procession.
Coastal Blue Metallic (GJV)
Cyber Yellow Metallic (GCP)
Radiant Red Tintcoat (GNT)
Drift Metallic (GAE – new for 2025)
Typhoon Metallic (GBW – new for 2025)
The best that Cadillac can do is offer a bunch of color options??? Their ICE offerings need exterior redesigns post-haste and the option of AWD in the Blackwing offerings to be relevant. By model year 2027 they should also undergo an extensive redesign of their exterior – that C-Pillar is still unattractive as the day is was born – and interiors. Otherwise they’ll continue to wither away slowly until there’s no longer a business case for replacing them.
