The 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing introduces a thorough mid-cycle refresh to the high-performance variant of Caddy’s midsize luxury sedan. Among a lineup of exterior, cockpit, and tech feature updates, the 2025 CT5-V Blackwing gets four new paint colors.
Among these is Typhoon Metallic, a new exterior paint choice that adds a vivid sea green metallic color, and which we’re looking at in detail here.
Typhoon Metallic is identified with color code GBW and touch-up paint number WA-235K. It’s one of 10 paint colors offered for the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, with the full list including the tints shown below:
- Argent Silver Metallic (GXD)
- Black Raven (GBA)
- Coastal Blue Metallic (GJV)
- Cyber Yellow Metallic (GCP)

Buyers can also choose from three wheel styles, all 19 inches in diameter. The official configurator is live for those who want to try out and order builds online.
The previously mentioned Le Monstre Special Edition is to be included on a total of 101 vehicles, marking the 101st anniversary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans race. The Le Monstre gets a unique exterior color, Magnus Metal Frost, and its own exclusive interior colorways, along with various decals, badges, and other aesthetic details.
For motivation, the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing features a single powerplant, specifically the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine developing 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque. The GM six-speed manual transmission sends power to the pavement as standard, with the GM 10-speed automatic transmission optionally available.
All CT5 trims and versions are underpinned by the GM Alpha 2 platform under the sheet metal. Production is carried out at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.

That’s an awesome looking color…now all GM has to do is make it metallic and it wound look even better! It would also be nice if the interior matched the exterior like back in the good ol days!
