A major reworking of the hard-charging sedan’s color palette is introduced by the 2025 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing, which otherwise debuts just a few changes from 2024. A quartet of paints is eliminated and four new ones join the lineup for 2025.
Here, GM Authority is putting the spotlight on the new Typhoon Metallic color, a 2025 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing paint option offering a rich but dignified metallic sea green finish.Â
Typhoon Metallic is identified with color code GBW and touch-up paint code WA-235K, joining nine other exterior colors comprising the 2025 CT4-V Blackwing palette. As a reminder, the full range of exterior paint colors is listed here:
- Argent Silver Metallic (GXD)
- Black Raven (GBA)
- Coastal Blue Metallic (GJV)
- Cyber Yellow Metallic (GCP)
- Radiant Red Tintcoat (GNT)
- Summit White (GAZ)
- Deep Space Metallic (GAI – new for 2025)
- Drift Metallic (GAE – new for 2025)
- Magnus Metal Frost (GBL – new for 2025)
- Typhoon Metallic (GBW – new for 2025)
Typhoon Metallic is, as its name suggests, a metallic paint color, though it is not a tintcoat. It is offered as an extra-charge option priced at $625 and can be combined with any interior colorways except those exclusive to the Petit Pataud Special Edition package (RPO code ZLZ).
Those colorways include Sky Cool Gray with Santorini Blue accents and Jet Black with Phantom Blue accents.
For reference purposes, seven interior colorways are offered for the 2025 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing, with the following choices available to purchasers of the compact performance sedan:
- Jet Black with Jet Black accents, Inteluxe
- Jet Black with Jet Black accents, Leather/Performance Cloth/Sueded Microfiber/Inteluxe
- Jet Black with Jet Black accents, Leather
- Natural Tan with Jet Black accents, Leather
- Sky Cool Gray with Jet Black accents, Leather
- Sky Cool Gray with Santorini Blue accents, Leather
- Jet Black with Phantom Blue accents, Leather
Pricing for the 2025 CT4-V Blackwing begins at a starting MSRP for $63,590. This price is for the vehicle when using the standard Tremec six-speed manual transmission for cog swaps. Priced at $2,275 is an optional GM 10-speed automatic transmission (RPO code MHU). Rear-wheel drive is the only available drivetrain and the 2025 sedan features three wheel styles.
The twin-turbocharged 3.6L V6 LF4 gasoline engine rated at 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque is the only engine the CT4-V Blackwing cradles under the hood.
The Cadillac luxury sedan rides on the GM Alpha 2 platform beneath the skin. Production of the model takes place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.

pity its not Right hand drive for export.
Australia has nothing in rear wheel drive and is only given Chinese and Europe vehicles to buy with some Subaru available.
All front wheel buzz boxes. Australia is as big as the USA GM walked away from us as did Ford . Time to get GM cars back into this market
Agree, but has to have a V8 in it
BMW M3 RWD would be faster still but it’s not a V8 anymore 😢
Not “sea green”, it is the color of the sky during a typhoon or other heightened storm. Gorgeous color in person.
