2025 Buick Envista: Everything That’s New And Different vs. 2024

The 2025 Buick Envista represents the second model year of the first-generation small crossover, for which it receives a handful of changes and updates. GM Authority is now delving into everything that’s new and different about the 2025 Envista.

Model Cadence

The 2025 Buick Envista follows the 2024 Envista, which was the introductory year of the all-new model.

2025 Buick Envista Model Line

The 2025 Buick Envista continues to be offered as a subcompact crossover SUV across the same three trim levels as the 2024 model (product code in parentheses):

  • Preferred (4TQ58)
  • Sport Touring / ST (4TR58)
  • Avenir (4TS58)

Each trim is offered exclusively in front-wheel-drive (FWD). Those looking for all-wheel-drive should consider the Encore GX, which shares its general architecture with the Envista.

Powertrain

GM made a key change to the powertrain of the Buick Envista, adding E85 compatibility to the turbocharged 1.2L three-cylinder engine. As such, the RPO code changes from LIH (2024 model year) to LPB (2025 model year).

Power and torque remain unchanged, coming in at 137 horses and 132 pound-feet of torque.

2025 Buick Envista Exterior

On the outside, the 2025 Buick Envista removes Sunrise Red Metallic (GMF) from the color palette while adding Aquamarine Blue Metallic (GKN) as a new color.

In addition, the Copper Ice Metallic (G98) color is no longer available on Sport Touring, while White Frost Tricoat (GP5) is no longer available on Preferred or Sport Touring (ST) trims.

Interior

No changes are made to the 2025 Buick Envista’s interior, which continues to feature a five-passenger seating capacity in a 2-3 (front-back) configuration.

The cabin is headlined by a standard 11-inch center color touchscreen and an 8-inch fully digital and reconfigurable Driver Information Center, otherwise known as the DIC or gauge cluster.

Driver Assist Technology

GM made two assist tech changes to the 2025 Buick Envista.

First, Rear Park Assist (UD7) is now standard on all trims. The 2024 Envista, by comparison, offered Rear Park Assist as an option on all trim levels as part of the optional Advanced Safety Package (WPA) on Preferred and Sport Touring trims, the or Avenir Advanced Safety Package (UD7) on the Avenir trim.

Additionally, the remote vehicle starter system (BTV) becomes standard on the Preferred and Sport Touring trims. For the 2024 model year, the remote vehicle starter system was standard only on Avenir, while being optional on Preferred and ST via the optional Convenience 1 Package (ZL4).

The updates and changes described here are specific to the U.S. market and may be different for other markets.

Where To From Here?

And that does it for the changes and updates to the 2025 Buick Envista. We expect that the current, first-generation model to remain in production thru at least the 2030 model year. A mid-cycle refresh is expected for either the 2027 or 2028 model years.

  1. Alex, thank you fir this report and especially for estimating how long the first generation will be in production and when a refresh might occur. But now could the “Future Buick Vehicles & Products” section be updated?

  2. The 2024 Envista was the ‘mid cycle’ refresh of the 2020 Encore GX….

  3. I like these a lot, but the engine makes me nervous. A retro-graphic GNX package (turbo logo, waterfall grille, black/gray seats) would sell like crazy no matter the engine

    1. Should drop the 1.2L engine. Either make the 1.3L engine std. or better yet put the 1.5L in with the 6spd. trans.

  4. Buick en vista is garbage. Won’t go anywhere in snow. I absolutely hate the car.

    1. Buy some snow tires, it may surprise you.

  5. I’d really like to see AWD added for the 2025 Envista and beyond. Also the 2.0 liter Turbo 4 Cylinder from the Envision and Ultra-View Moonroof as options would be Great for the 2025 model year as well.

    1. Then you will not get this for $25K -$30K. Right now Envista is the 2nd best selling Buick Vehicle!
