2024 Chevy Colorado Gets Price Increase

The 2024 Chevy Colorado midsize pickup truck has received price increases across the board. Normally, we’d call this a mid-model year price hike. However, unusually, GM raised the prices of a truck from the previous model year. It’s less unusual when you remember that the online configurator still isn’t live for the 2025 Chevy Colorado.

The 2024 Chevy Colorado‘s price went up by $535 for the WT and LT trims when equipped with the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B engine and by $300 for every other model in the Colorado lineup. These changes bump up the base price of the 2024 Chevy Colorado to $31,395.

2024 Chevy Colorado Revised Starting MSRPs
Trim Level Drivetrain Powertrain 2024 MSRP + DFC
WT 2WD Turbo 2.7L I4 L2R $31,395
WT 2WD TurboMax 2.7L I4 L3B $32,680
WT 4WD Turbo 2.7L I4 L2R $34,695
WT 4WD TurboMax 2.7L I4 L3B $35,980
LT 2WD Turbo 2.7L I4 L2R $33,795
LT 2WD TurboMax 2.7L I4 L3B $35,080
LT 4WD Turbo 2.7L I4 L2R $37,095
LT 4WD TurboMax 2.7L I4 L3B $38,380
Trail Boss 4WD TurboMax 2.7L I4 L3B $39,195
Z71 4WD TurboMax 2.7L I4 L3B $42,095
ZR2 4WD TurboMax 2.7L I4 L3B $48,695
ZR2 Bison 4WD TurboMax 2.7L I4 L3B $60,840
For those who may have missed it, the 2025 Chevy Colorado configurator tool was originally scheduled to launch on November 27th, 2024, but was later delayed to December 16th, 2024. However, that date has also come and gone, and Chevrolet is now expecting the 2025 Colorado configurator to go live in early March.

The reason behind the delayed launch of the 2025 Colorado configurator tool remains unclear.

A big difference between the 2024 and 2025 Chevy Colorado is a new base engine. For 2025, the truck drops the turbo 2.7L I4 L2R, and the high-output 2.7L I4 L3B becomes the base engine.

We’ve known the pricing of the 2025 Colorado since way back in October. It starts at $33,495 for the base WT trim with 2WD and the L3B engine. At the top of the model range, the ZR2 Bison model begins at $62,895. One thing the 2024 and 2025 models have in common is a $3,300 extra charge for 4WD in the WT and LT trims. 4WD is standard on the Trail Boss, Z71, ZR2, and ZR2 Bison variants.

These price changes coincide with mid-model year price bumps for the 2024 GMC Canyon as well as GM’s full-size SUVs that share the T1 platform, including the Chevy Tahoe, Suburban, GMC Yukon, and Cadillac Escalade.

The Chevy Colorado is underpinned by GM’s updated 31XX-2 platform, which is shared with the GMC Canyon. Vehicle production takes place at the GM Wentzville plant in Missouri.

  1. Losing with mediocrity strikes again.
No center console on work truck trims. A sun visor that doesn’t block out sun on the side window. No cruise control on WTs while competitors have it.
    And subpar fuel economy.
    But it got screens!!!!!

    1. I agree 100% with you on this. A few people who own these are not getting good gas mileage. The 3.6L got way better. TFLtrucks bought one of these last year smd it came without cruise control! It floored me that a $47k (I think that’s the price he paid) in 2024 didn’t have cruise control. Terrible. Also the exterior of the Colorado and Canyon look massive but whrn you get inside the interior doesn’t have a ton of room. We have tinted a ton of these and I am cramped in them.

      1. What? The 3.6 was rated lower and gets lower. The TFL guys showed it exceeded their numbers on the loop, the forums are littered with people showing they are exceeding their mpg numbers and finally fuelly shows the highest average higher with the 2.7 vs 3.6 with all available data. Basically, that is just flat out incorrect, the 3.6 DOES NOT get better mpg than the 2.7 and it is way down on power.

Cruise control I do agree with, and with the exterior growing the interior should have as well but that wasn’t the case.

  3. It’s not a bad looking truck, but anything over about $35k for a 4 cylinder is ridiculous.

    1. Still have my 2019 Colorado, and already heading down the path of driving it until the wheels fall off. 3rd Gen still has issues with battery drain and OTA updates, still has no physical controls for head/fog lights, no power passenger seat, and no hood struts.

My 19 has no battery/OTA issues. And I am certainly not giving up my hood struts, physical controls, and power passenger seat. So GM, if you want me to buy a new truck, replace the content you stripped out of the 2nd Gen.
