Upcoming Chevy Spark EUV Will Be Sold In Many Countries

After officially showing the entry-level electric crossover in Brazil for the first time, General Motors will deploy the upcoming Chevy Spark EUV across several countries.

The automaker is preparing to introduce the upcoming Chevy Spark EUV in Brazil and much of Latin America as Chevrolet’s most affordable all-electric vehicle in the region, where it will be deployed gradually starting in the 2025 calendar year. As such, the Spark EUV is one of the key pieces in bringing GM’s most affordable electric propulsion technology mainstream in key Latin American markets.

In addition to the model’s imminent arrival in South America’s largest country, GM Authority has confirmed with several sources familiar with GM’s product and engineering plans that the company is currently testing units of the upcoming zero-emission Chevy Spark EUV in other countries of the region for its upcoming introduction in more Latin American nations. Among them, Colombia appears as one of the first international markets for the new Spark EUV.

In fact, validation tests of the Chevy Spark EUV in Colombian territory are in an advanced phase and the country will play a leading role in the regional deployment of the brand’s next affordable all-electric models. In addition to having one of the most advanced electromobility legislations in Latin America and multiple government incentives that stimulate demand, GM has a consolidated engineering and marketing base in Colombia.

Sources say GM is currently evaluating performance parameters and designing a Spanish-language marketing strategy for the Chevy Spark EUV in other Latin American countries with similar demographics, such as Chile, Ecuador and Peru. The company is also conducting its own market study for the possible introduction of the next Spark EUV in Mexico – the largest Hispanic market in Latin America.

The upcoming Chevy Spark EUV is expected to make its official debut in Brazil in the coming months and begin commercial deployment in other Latin American countries later this year as the spearhead of GM’s affordable electric vehicle strategy in the region. The Spark EUV will lead that plan by deepening the automaker’s existing product strategy with the SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) joint venture in China that develops vehicles for Chevrolet.

  1. This should be the Bolt EUV here in my opinion unless GM will only offer the Bolt as a small hatchback version.

  3. This is what US market needs, not gigantic $100k electric Hummers.

  4. It’s insulting to me, as US citizen, that this US company introduces products in other markets and avoids the US FIRST. Makes no sense: WE should set the trends of what the world receives if, in fact, we designed an built it. To be fair, I hate that Jeep, Ford and other manufacturers do the same thing. US FIRST, BABY!

    1. It is manufactured in China. Ask Trump permission to bring it into the U.S without tariffs.

  5. America loves blunt, boxy off-road capable 4 wheelers, starting from the original Ford Bronco, IH Scout and moving forward to the Bronco II, the new Bronco Sport and new Bronco. Toss in the original K5 Blazer and of course, the Jeeps of military origins. And who can forget the Suzuki Samurai or the Geo/Suzuki Trackers?

This Spark EUV would guarantee lots of first-time prospective Electric vehicle buyers coming into a Chevy or GMC showroom. Indeed, we need an affordable electric vehicle available to buy; not some megaton Hummer.

Build and sell it here, GM!
