These Three 2025 Chevy Suburban Wheels Are No Longer Available To Order

The 2025 Chevy Suburban is a highly customizable full-size SUV. Aside from six trim levels and three powertrains to choose from, there’s a wide selection of packages and individual options so shoppers can easily personalize their ride. However, the Suburban now has three fewer wheel options than it did before.

The three wheel options no longer available to order for the rest of the 2025 model year are all 22 inches in diameter: 22-inch Bright Chrome wheels (LPO, SF1), 22-inch Multi-spoke Chrome wheels (LPO, SF2), and 22-inch Multi-spoke Chrome wheels (LPO, SSI). All three wheel options were previously available on all but the Chevy Suburban’s Z71 trim.

The discontinuation of the SF1 wheel design also means that the LPO Chrome Package is no longer available for the LS and LT trims. Previously, at a cost of $3,995, this option package added chrome mirror caps (LPO, VKU) and the SF1 wheels when optioned with the two lowest trims. The Chrome Package is still available for the Premier and High Country trims because they use different wheels.

The discontinuation of these wheels reduces the total number of wheel options for the 2025 Chevy Suburban from 21 to 18. It’s unclear whether they’ll return for the 2026 model year or be replaced by new designs.

Incidentally, there are three other wheel options that are currently under constraint but not discontinued. These are the 22-inch Black wheels with selective machining (LPO, SRL), 24-inch Black wheels (LPO, 5FG), and 24-inch Bright Chrome PVD wheels (LPO, 5FF). The SRL rims are normally optional on all but the Z71 trim and the other two are optional on the RST and High Country trims.

Headlining 2025 model year updates, the 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine replaces the previous 3.0L I6 LM2 diesel powerplant, providing 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque. This engine should be available in March 2025 and can now be ordered. The two gasoline powerplants carrying forward from 2024 consist of the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine rated at 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque and the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine cranking out 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.

The 2025 sport-utility is underpinned by the GM T1 platform, like the foregoing model years. The 2025 Chevy Suburban continues to roll off the assembly line exclusively at the GM Arlington plant in Texas, with the start of regular production occurring in October 2024.

  1. Only 18 wheel options…is still more than enough. I’d rather have 18 paint color options.
