Specialty Vehicles Engineering (SVE) has debuted the 2025 Sport Edition GMC Sierra, available with up to 1,000 horsepower. Rather than going the off-road route that’s trendy right now, this truck leans into road and track performance with a powerful and stylish full-size pickup.
Available in Crew Cab or Double Cab configurations with either the short bed or standard bed, the supercharged 2025 Sport Edition GMC Sierra is only available through local GM dealerships and can be had in either 2WD or 4WD.
There are three power levels on offer, including a 700-horsepower unit equipped with the 5.3L V8 L84, an 800-horsepower variant equipped with the 6.2L V8 L87, and a 1,000-horsepower beast with a 6.8L V8, presumably a bored-out L87. All of the above feature a blueprinted aluminum block, race-quality computer-balanced rotating assembly, forged twisted steel crankshaft, forged aluminum pistons, upgraded cylinder heads, and an SVE supercharger system. A custom stainless steel exhaust system is also included.
91 and 93 octane tunings are available across the board. The 91-octane tuning would make it easier to fill up with premium pump gas at most gas stations.
Additional upgrades include 22-inch wheels in gunmetal, satin black, or satin black with a red line stripe. They’re wrapped in Nitto performance tires. You also get Brembo 6-piston front brakes with 16.1-inch vented rotors. Other standard aesthetic upgrades include SVE badging and interior embroidery, a hood insert in gloss-finish body color with flat black louvers, badging indicating the horsepower rating on the hood insert and tailgate, and custom fender inserts.
A few additional options you can add to the package are a sport suspension system with a lowering kit, black GMC emblems, black window trim, a tonneau cover, and body-color bumpers, mirror caps, door handles, and wheel arch moldings.
Notably, SVE will only produce 50 units in each of the three configurations, or 150 units in total, of the 2025 Sport Edition GMC Sierra.

how dare they make something cool, non ev, not overloaded with chrome
So go buy it! Send a message to GM that there’s huge demand for such a product and they can start making it in-house.
Or you going to sit on your hands and just complain that GM doesn’t make anything fun?
The problem is when it’s a limited number of units being made, they will be asking a STUPID price for it, and then you have dealership mark-ups. Covid truly screwed the U.S. economy but truly made the vehicle market unbearable. It’s going to take ALOT of consumers looking into the mirror, have some self control, and ask themselves, “Do I really need a shiny, new overpriced vehicle right now?” Until then, the market will not adjust, because they know the consumer will pay it.
Probably best not to use the 6.2L!
SVE fixes any problems associated with the engine. I’m sending my 2024 Chevy to Late Model Racecraft in Houston. It’ll be faster and sound good.
Man. That’s what a production SS from GM should look like from the factory. Bad@ss!! Why oh why can’t they make this. It would sell and sell well as long as they keep the payload and towing respectable. (Not like the syclone…that’s where gm messed up on that truck…even though it was awesome!!)
This truck is so much better looking than lifted mall crawlers like the trailboss and zr2 that No one uses for offroad use.
Why can’t they make this? One reason – EPA
It looks great but when will valve bodies be available for 2024 GMC Sierras with transmission problems
Probably by MY27 or MY28. After the production is wound down.
Its serious issue.
Threaten them with a law suit. I had my attorney send my local dealership a letter stating that they can replace the VB or the entire transmission withing 14 days or we would be taking them and GM to court. Miraculously, in 2 days I had a new VB and my truck was fixed after 3 months.
Reminds me of the Cheyenne Chevy teased us with awhile back. Think it was a different company that offered a similar truck? Think it was SCA? Wonder if the rear has a flip kit or different springs? I like the look.
Very nice, but to many doors, to much weight to much money!
There is your new Camaro.
You will need deep pockets to purchase one.
Lets pretend that I am at my GMC dealership. Me: I want one of those 1000hp trucks. Dealer: We don’t have any. Me: When will you have one? Dealer: don’t know, probably never. Where can I get one? Dealer: You can’t get one. Me: Why? Dealer: Because the factory only made 50, I can’t get one and you can’t get one either. Me: If I could get one how much would it cost? Dealer: A lot, maybe more. Me: What if I have a lot? Dealer: Doesn’t matter, you still can’t get one, can I interest you in this nice Buick? ……..and that’s the way it is folks. Likely the picture in this add is as close as you will ever get to one.
Another high performance piece of junk.
