GM has issued a Customer Satisfaction Program that covers the all-new third-generation 2025 GMC Terrain with a remedy for a leaking fuel injector issue that may affect certain units of the compact crossover.
The 2025 GMC Terrain is included in Customer Satisfaction Program number N242489010 through February 28th, 2027, while the Chevrolet Equinox crossover model is affected by the same issue.
According to the customer satisfaction program, affected units may have at least one of four fuel injectors fitted to the fuel rails which will leak. Since the exact fuel injector subject to leakage is not the same in all cases, and multiple injectors may be affected, dealer service technicians are to replace all four of the fuel injectors.
The fix is offered free of charge to current 2025 GMC Terrain owners. The procedure requires about 2.5 hours to complete and requires four fuel injectors, eight bolts to attach them, and a fuel feed intermediate pipe assembly. The components are in short supply at this time so they should only be ordered for a fix, not as general shelf stock.
As a reminder, the third-gen 2025 GMC Terrain arrives with just one trim level available, the entry-level Elevation trim. The off-road focused AT4 trim and the more luxurious, range-topping Denali trim level will arrive for the 2026 model year of the Terrain instead.
Pricing currently starts at $31,395 for the front-wheel-drive configuration and $33,395 starting MSRP for the all-wheel-drive setup of the Elevation trim. These prices include a destination freight charge of $1,395. Propulsion is supplied by the turbocharged 1.5L I4 LSD gasoline engine developing 175 horsepower. Torque peaks at 184 pound-feet with FWD and at 203 pound-feet with AWD.
The GM D2 platform continues to provide the bones for the 2025 GMC Terrain. Meanwhile, the crossover rolls off the assembly line exclusively at the GM San Luis Potosà plant in Mexico.

Have they even reached dealerships yet?(!)
Good to see they caught this potentially disastrous issue early. Even so this is disappointing…
Keep up the good work, Mary .

Losing with mediocrity strikes again.
The 1.5T has been around for quite some time. It’s an extremely reliable engine and has had zero injector issues in the past. Why now? Is GM using a new supplier? And why are the injectors in short supply? I don’t get it.
I wouldn’t want a Terrain or Equinox built in Mexico for the next couple of months. The workers may not be happy with the tariffs and the potential of losing their jobs. Maybe a few shortcuts on the production line may be taken to send GM a message.
This may not turn out as a pretty picture!
Pay a lot and get little. Wait for the ’27s or later.
