Kyle Busch, driver of the No. 7 Chevy Silverado RST, added another Truck Series trophy to his already full case, but it wasn’t an easy victory for the division’s winningest driver. In fact, Busch didn’t make the race-winning pass until he and Stewart Friesen, driver of the No. 52 Toyota TRD Tundra, were about 60 feet from the checkers. And even then, the margin of victory at Atlanta Motor Speedway on February 22nd, 2025 was only 0.017 seconds at the line.
Busch and Friesen battled side-by-side in the closing laps of the Truck Series race. Busch at first appeared to have the advantage, having led 80 of 120 laps, but he faced tough competition from the rest of the field, forcing him to push his No. 7 NASCAR Chevy truck to the limit.
“Awesome run for this Spire Chevrolet and everybody at [his sponsor] Gainbridge,” Busch said after the race. “Just trying to make sure I stayed as far forward as I possibly could. Those guys would cycle to me and get to the next one in front, next one in front of me and I just made sure to keep battling back and got back to the front so I could control it the best I could. That inside [lane] was good, they were rolling forward so it made for a heck of a race.”

He added, “I’m proud we had a heck of a race there to the finish and it wasn’t single file. There was some mixing it up for these fans out here to see a cool show.”
The victory marked Busch’s 67th in the division. Meanwhile, behind him and Friesen, another pair of race trucks battled neck-and-neck all the way to the line. Tyler Ankrum, driving the No. 18 NASCAR Chevy Silverado, beat the No. 44 Silverado of Bayley Curry to a third-place finish by a mere 0.001 seconds.

So when are they racing a Silverado EV? Or is the virtue signaling only for the Cup series?
So when is GM calling it a Chevrolet like the Camaro in NASCAR. End of days for gm (government motors).
First off, this IS NASCAR. I assume you mean the Cup Series?
Second off, the Silverado isn’t going anywhere.
