Last Chance To Order The 2025 Cadillac CT5 In This Paint Color

The final call is out to order the 2025 Cadillac CT5 luxury sedan in the Crystal White Tricoat (color code G1W) exterior paint color, which is an extra-charge paint priced at $1,225 and available on both the Premium Luxury and Sport trims.

Crystal White Tricoat for the 2025 Cadillac CT5 can only be ordered through the end of the week beginning February 3rd, 2025, after which it will be discontinued. The paint color will be built out after the week of March 17th, 2025.

The Crystal White Tricoat paint color has been available ever since the sedan nameplate launched with the 2020 Cadillac CT5. Now, it will be retired following the end of the 2025 model year. This applies to all variants of the CT5, including the Cadillac CT5-V and the high-performance Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing.

A new, white tricoat exterior paint color is expected to join the CT5 palette to replace Crystal White for the 2026 model year. It doesn’t have a Cadillac-branded name yet, but its color code should be G4J. Chevrolet calls it Polar White, debuting on the 2026 Chevy Equinox, while GMC designates it as Glacier White Tricoat and plans to introduce it on the 2026 GMC Terrain.

The 2025 Cadillac CT5 launched a previously delayed mid-cycle refresh for the four-door sedan nameplate, giving the model a new lease on life. It will be succeeded by the 2026 Cadillac CT5, which will become available to order on May 1st of this year and will commence production on June 2nd, 2025.

In the meantime – with the Luxury trim eliminated by the refresh – the now entry-level Premium Luxury trim with rear-wheel drive has a starting MSRP of $48,990, while the most expensive variant, the all-wheel-drive Sport, starts at $51,990. A $1,395 destination freight charge is included in these prices, while the online configurator can be used to try out builds.

Two engines are offered on the regular CT5, including the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine rated at 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque as standard, with the twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 LGY gasoline engine developing 335 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque as an option. The GM 10-speed automatic transmission sends power to the pavement for both engines.

The CT5 continues to be underpinned by the GM Alpha 2 platform. The GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan is the only facility to produce the sedan.

  1. I couldn’t believe that any color other than black or white carried an additional uncharge when I ordered my CT5. I’m sure Cadillac could have factored that into the prices to begin with.

  2. Are you saying that other customers should pitch in to pay for your more expensive paint choice. If you didn’t want to pay the up charge you should have chosen the black or the non-metallic white.

  3. Crystal White Tricoat is not available on the CT5-V anyway.
