Last Chance To Order The 2025 Cadillac CT4 In This Paint Color

Only a few days remain during which it will be possible to order the 2025 Cadillac CT4 compact four-door luxury sedan with the Crystal White Tricoat (color code G1W) exterior paint color, according to the latest available information.

The Crystal White Tricoat paint color can only be ordered on the 2025 Cadillac CT4 until the end of the week of February 3rd, 2025, after which it will be permanently unavailable.

Crystal White Tricoat is a multi-layer paint color, as its name suggests, and is one of nine paint colors offered for the CT4’s 2025 model year. It is an extra-charge paint option offered on all three trim levels – including the Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport – and is priced at an additional $1,225.

GM plans to drop the Crystal White Tricoat paint color following the 2025 model year. It will be eliminated from the palette of the regular CT4 sedan as well as the paint lineup for the Cadillac CT4-V and the hard-charging performance variant bearing the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing name.

The 2026 model year should have a new white tricoat paint added to the palette as a replacement for the outgoing Crystal White, however. The paint will debut on the 2026 Chevy Equinox with the Chevy branding of Polar White. It will also appear on the 2026 GMC Terrain, though in this case under the title of Glacier White Tricoat by GMC designation. There is no Cadillac name at this point, but it will probably have paint code G4J.

While the fate of the Cadillac CT4 is uncertain, with sales abysmally low and no mid-cycle refresh currently on the horizon, it will continue into the 2026 model year at a minimum. Order books will open on May 1st, 2025 for the 2026 Cadillac CT4, while start of regular production (SORP) is slated for June 2nd, 2025, though subject to change as usual.

Currently, the 2025 Cadillac CT4 cradles one of two powerplants under the hood, either the standard turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine cranking out 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, or optionally the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine developing 310 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. Meanwhile, the CT4-V’s turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B engine produces 325 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque, while the CT4-V Blackwing features the twin-turbo 3.6L V6 LF4 engine generating 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet.

Beneath the sheet metal, the 2025 CT4 is underpinned by the GM Alpha 2 platform, while production of the sedan is carried out at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.

  1. The metallic white, also known in the past as pearl white, really makes a car look classy.
