The 2026 GMC Acadia is on its way as the third model year for the latest third-generation crossover. The newest generation of GMC’s three-row crossover grew bigger and roomier, got a new turbo engine, and introduced a new Denali Reserve package, pushing it into a new level of luxury. Now, GM Authority has learned when production is scheduled to begin for the 2026 model.
The start of regular production (SORP) for the 2026 GMC Acadia crossover is slated to begin on July 14th, 2025. Dealers can start submitting orders on June 12th, 2025. Incidentally, production of the 2026 GMC Hummer EV will start on the same day, and both GMC models are assembled in Michigan.
Since it’s still fresh from its 2024 redesign and a few updates for 2025, like a new eight-passenger seating configuration, a standard trailering package, and a couple of new wheel options, we’re not expecting any major changes for the 2026 GMC Acadia. It’s possible the 2026 Acadia could ditch the White Frost Tricoat (color code G1W) paint option and replace it with Glacier White Tricoat (G4J) like the 2026 GMC Terrain is.
Pricing is forthcoming for the 2026 GMC Acadia, but the 2025 model is priced from $44,295 for the base Elevation trim level, $52,595 for the rugged AT4, and $55,295 for the luxe Denali. All-wheel drive is a $2,000 option for the Elevation and Denali trims, and, naturally, AWD is standard on the capable Acadia AT4. We expect pricing to be similar for the 2026 model.
Under the hood, the 2026 GMC Acadia will continue to be powered by the turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine, which delivers 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque. The crossover rides on the GM C1 platform, which is shared with the Chevy Traverse and Buick Enclave, while production takes place at the GM Lansing Delta Township facility.

Whenever I read the head line about a start date, I subconsciously think GM is announcing the cancellation date of another gas model.
It’s the cancellation of GM. Another government bail out please.
Why aren’t flat bottomed steering wheels more widely available for fat bottomed Americans? I have actually trimmed down and I am no longer considered obese, but I hate it when the steering wheel digs into my leg as I enter the vehicle.
4cyc is to loud for me and no V6 option -I’ll be moving on my Enclave is fine the way it is and only 1 mile to the gallon more for a 4cyc LOL engineers
Is this SUV a substitute for the XT6 which will be discontinued at the end of 2025? Any help would be appreciated, thanks and Regards, Nick
