Here’s When 2026 Chevy Blazer EV Production Is Scheduled To Start

Following the Chevy Blazer EV’s introduction for the 2024 model year as a new all-electric midsize crossover in the Bow Tie brand’s lineup, the Chevy Blazer EV the production start of the 2026 Chevy Blazer EV has now been penciled in.

GM Authority has learned when the start of regular production (SORP) for the 2026 Chevy Blazer EV is scheduled, along with the opening of order books for the model.

The 2026 Chevy Blazer EV is currently slated to start rolling off the assembly line at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico on Monday, June 23rd, 2025. Dealers will be able to start submitting orders for the 2026 model year starting on Thursday, May 15th, 2025, according to the same sources. These dates are tentative and as usual are subject to change in the meantime.

It’s unclear at this time what changes will be introduced by the 2026 Chevy Blazer EV. We’re expecting retirement of exterior paint colors and the debut of some new paints, along with other minor updates and changes. The 2026 model year could also integrate the North American Charging Standard (NACS) port in place of the current Combined Charging System (CCS) port.

For now, the big news for the nameplate is the arrival of the 2025 Chevy Blazer EV SS, a Super Sport variant of the crossover whose ordering cycle kicked off on December 5th, 2024. The Blazer EV SS will put a recently boosted 615 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque at the driver’s disposal, along with an available Performance Package (RPO code F41) with low metallic brake lining (JBL), non-FNC brake rotors (JCN), and 275/40R22 summer-only self-sealing tires (QSA).

The sporty, hard-charging 2025 Chevy Blazer EV SS will be pacing the 67th Daytona 500 at the Daytona International Speedway this weekend, using a stock vehicle modified only with a special paint job and strobe lights. The configurator for the SS is live, with MSRP starting at $61,995, inclusive of a $1,395 destination freight charge.

Pricing for the 2025 Chevy Blazer EV overall starts at $45,995 for the FWD configuration of the LT trim, while the RS trim price ranges up to $56,990 for the RWD variant. Habanero Orange (color code GAG) was added to the palette exclusively for the 2025 SS trim level.

The 2026 Chevy Blazer EV, like the 2025 model, will continue to ride on the GM BEV3 platform. GM batteries energize the GM drive electric motors that provide motivation to the EV.

  2. Per the article: we know it’s hard charging. Much easier to spend 5 minutes filling a gas tank.

Yes, longer to charge an EV, but with my EV and home charging, I haven’t had to stand outside at a gas station in well over a year – not int he cold, rain, or heat – no more standing in a grungy gas station. I really, really, like not having to pump gas. I have used a commercial super charger stop a couple of times on a longer trip, but I don’t drive on longer trips that much, and I always have my (actually, my wife’s car) old ICE vehicle to use for longer trips if I want.

      Future batteries will have greater range and shorter charging times. EV’s are inevitable. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated….

  6. EVs work great as a daily A to B rig. My 2012 & 2018 Volt did that great for many years. I personally feel PHEV is the way to go for now for most folks as the battery tech keeps advancing. If I’m going longer than 250 miles I’m taking my truck. But for around town and back and forth to work EVs work great. I’m fortunate to have 1 diesel truck and 1 EV for our auto family.
