The 2024 Chevy Corvette marks the fifth model year for the eighth-generation Corvette C8, ushering in a round of updates for the C8 Stingray and C8 Z06, as well as the debut of the hybrid-powered C8 E-Ray. One of the many customization options available to Corvette customers is the choice of seats, the availability of which varies by trim level and model. Now, we’re taking a closer look at the 2024 Corvette seats, breaking it all down from the raw production numbers.
Three seat types are available for the 2024 Corvette: GT1, GT2, and Competition Sport seats. The GT1 seats, featuring Mulan leather with perforated inserts, are standard on 1LT/1LZ and 2LT/2LZ trim levels, but are not available for the top-tier 3LT/3LZ trims. The GT2 seats, which are shod in Napa leather with perforated inserts or an optional sueded microfiber finish, are standard on 3LT/3LZ models and optional for $1,695 on 2LT/2LZ trims.
Lastly, the Competition Sport seats are available across all trim levels. Their cost varies based on trim: $995 for 1LT/1LZ, $1,995 for 2LT/2LZ, and $500 for 3LT/3LZ, although selecting the sueded microfiber version requires an additional $695 for the sueded microfiber-wrapped steering wheel.

Across all 2024 Corvette models, the GT2 seats were the most popular choice, with 23,858 units produced. The GT1 seats followed with 15,411 units, while 3,665 Corvettes were built with the Competition Sport seats. Among Stingray models, GT1 seats were the most common in the Coupe body style (10,163 units), but GT2 seats were more popular for the Convertible (8,253 units). For the E-Ray, a smaller production volume meant fewer seat variations, but GT2 seats still outnumbered GT1 and Competition seats in both Coupe and Convertible configurations.

For the high-performance Z06, the preference leaned heavily toward GT2 seats, with 3,291 Z06 Coupes and 4,159 Z06 Convertibles equipped with this option. Competition seats were most prevalent in the Z06 Coupe (1,122 units). Overall, while GT1 seats dominated in base models like the Stingray Coupe, GT2 seats became the preferred option in premium trims and high-performance variants.

What happens when your wife drops her make-up on your GT1 seats?
They become Mulan rouge. 🤪😂
great recap but sadly GM still cant figure out how to build car production without daily constraints
Mark,
With Trump’s tariffs, manufacturing delays will get much worse. Everything Trump touches dies.
Mark, Would you happen to be an owner of one of these fantastic C8 models?
My guess is that Mark is a raging liberal who is upset that he will now have to go back to work 5 days a week.
Bill, go back down in your mother’s basement and whip up another batch by hand.
Great car, Great price.. Enjoy!
