With the crossover nameplate’s third generation debuting with the 2025 GMC Terrain, new safety features, tech, and rugged truck-like aesthetics all distinguish the model from its 2024 predecessor. The list of GMC Terrain interior colorways is also changed and simplified for the third-gen vehicle.
Four 2025Â GMC Terrain interior color and upholstery combinations are currently available for the model year. All four are offered on the Elevation trim level, the only current trim that can be ordered. The colorways utilize After Dark either as a standalone hue or combined with Gideon Gray.
Materials used for the 2025 GMC Terrain interior include Premium Cloth and CoreTec. The latter is a brand name for GM’s synthetic leather or leatherette material when used for GMC vehicles, and is a material that is spill and stain resistant, durable, and soft to the touch.

Notably, the entry-level Elevation trim is the only one listed for 2025 GMC Terrain interior colorways because it is the only trim offered at this time. Later in 2025 the AT4 trim – a more rugged option – and the luxurious Denali trim will be introduced for the upcoming 2026 model year.
Premium cloth is standard for the 2025 GMC Terrain interior, while CoreTec is included and only available as part of the $2,100 Elevation Premium Package (RPO code GHI). The package includes the following content (with RPO codes in parenthesis):
- 8-way power driver seat adjuster (A2X)
- 2-way power driver lumbar seat adjuster (AL9)
- Cabin humidity and windshield temperature sensor (ASV)
- RainSense front intermittent wipers (CE1)
- Dual-zone automatic climate control (CJ2)
- Heated Wiper Park (CMO)
- Wireless charging (K4C)
- AutoSense hands-free power programmable liftgate (TCP)
- Universal Home remote (UG1)
- Roof rails (V2P)
- Overhead sunglass storage (VK8)
- After Dark (H9F) or (HFL) Gideon Gray (HFL) CoreTec seating
- 19-inch Technical Gray machined-face aluminum wheels (PJI)
Changes in the 2025 GMC Terrain interior colorways are echoed by alterations in the lineup of exterior paint colors. Two exterior colors are dropped and two new ones added for the first model year of the third generation. Other aesthetic changes include headlights featuring a C-shaped design and 17-inch wheels as standard.
New safety features offered on the 2025 GMC Terrain include Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking and Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian and Bicyclist Braking, Buckle to Drive, and the Safety Alert Seat (RPO code HS1) feature among others.
The vehicle’s MSRP ranges from a starting price of $31,395 when equipped with front-wheel drive to $33,395 for the all-wheel drive variant, with a destination freight charge of $1,395 figured into these numbers. December 2024 saw the model’s online  configurator to go live, enabling buyers to try out different builds and options.
A single powerplant is available for the 2025 Terrain, specifically the turbocharged 1.5L I4 LSD gasoline engine developing 175 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque. The ratings for fuel economy have been updated for the new model year.
Under the body panels, the 2025 GMC Terrain continues to ride on the same  GM D2 platform as the second generation. The GM San Luis Potosà plant in Mexico is the sole production site for the Terrain.

Colorways? WTF is this nonsense?
Colorways! LOL!
You get black or gray, it’s simple.
That’s the way GM colors things!
I wonder how many meetings and studies were conducted to make this explosive decision?
I find the Gideon Gray to be more tasteful than the 2024 model’s. I wasn’t too big of a fan of the gray and black combo rear seats on last year’s model.
Richard P,
Is,” more tasteful”, a euphemism for Less ugly.
Just asking.
I like the 2025’s gray interior, but I never grew accustomed to the gray/black combo for the 2024 model year.
So that’s 2 color choices and 2 different materials cloth and synthetic vinyl. I don’t at all care for how they made the entire interior black even the headliner and pillars with the only contrasts in the door panels and seats. Before you got grey contrasting pillars and headliner regardless of interior color. More cost cutting making the after dark very dark indeed!
Can GM not get the power plants right? A 4 cylinder rated at 90k miles? Come on man.
GM needs some color in their interiors.
