Notable among these Chevy Corvette wheels are the Stingray’s new 5-split-spoke Gloss Black forged aluminum wheels (RPO code QE5), and the new 10-spoke Corvette Z06 wheel choices that include special colors and thin spokes designed to showcase the vehicle’s brake package. The Z06 also dropped two wheel designs for 2025 that were offered as extra-charge options on the 2024 Corvette Z06.
Another five sets of Chevy Corvette wheels were added with the debut of the powerful 2025 Chevy Corvette ZR1, including carbon fiber rollers. Sporting the twin-turbo 5.5L V8 LT7 engine, the ZR1 blasts from 0 to 60 mph in 2.3 seconds, covers the quarter-mile in 9.6 seconds at 150 mph and hits a top speed of 233 mph.
The 2025 Corvette introduces several other changes to the Bow Tie performance model as well. The Corvette Z06 gets new fuel economy ratings with one less mile per gallon for highway and combined numbers. The new estimates are 12 mpg in the city, 20 mpg on the highway and 14 mpg combined. The Z06 also has a $3,000 gas guzzler tax for 2025 regardless of the specific packages it’s equipped with.
Meanwhile, the entry-level Stingray adds a Z51 rear spoiler (RPO code T0A) to its list of options, providing a more aggressive look. This new spoiler, featuring sharper angles and taller styling, is only available as part of the Z51 Performance Package, which carries a price of $6,345.
Stingray prices are unchanged from the 2024 model year, as GM Authority previously revealed, while the Z06 and E-Ray variants of the C8 Corvette both see their starting MSRP hiked by $2,000 for the new model year. The cheapest Vette is a Coupe configured Corvette C8 Stingray 1LT, priced at $69,995 base.
At the top end, a starting price of $113,795 applies to the Corvette C8 Z06, while the ZR1 starts at $174,995. All these prices include the $1,695 destination freight charge. Buyers can try out different builds using the official configurator that is now live.
Each configuration of the Corvette continues to be equipped with its own specific powertrain setup. The 2025 Stingray is kitted out with the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 LT2 gasoline engine rated at 490 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque, while the Z06 utilizes the naturally aspirated 5.5L V8 LT6 gasoline engine cranking out 670 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.
The 2025 E-Ray continues to be the only Vette with a hybrid powertrain and a form of AWD, combining the LT2 engine and a front-axle electric motor that together produce 655 horsepower. Finally, the C8 Corvette ZR1 features the twin-turbocharged 5.5L V8 LT7 engine that blasts out 1,064 horsepower and 828 pound-feet of torque.
The GM Y2 platform continues to provide the underpinnings for all Corvette variants into 2025. Production of the sports car is carried out at the GM Bowling Green plant in Kentucky.
