Incorporating a series of changes and updates that effectively add up to a refresh, the 2025 Cadillac Lyriq is the subject of a Service Bulletin from GM. The bulletin is related to a chassis wiring harness retainer issue affecting certain Cadillac Lyriq units.
According to GM Service Bulletin number N242485100, only about 78 vehicles in total out of all the 2025 Cadillac Lyriq crossovers produced are affected by this issue.
GM dealerships in the U.S. and Canada are instructed to apply the available fix for this issue to 2025 Cadillac Lyriq units brought to the dealer for any reason. In affected vehicles, the chassis wiring harness incorrectly contacts the rear half-shaft boot on the right-hand and left-hand sides because of an absent retainer, as an inspection will verify.
The remedy consists of installing two chassis wiring harness retainers on the wiring harness of the affected 2025 Cadillac Lyriq. The process takes about 20 minutes. About 1 percent of involved vehicles (out of a total of 78 units) will also need one or both rear-wheel driveshafts replaced, each replacement taking about two hours.
Parts can only be ordered along with a VIN verifying that the Lyriq in question is one of the handful actually affected by the issue. Other parts orders will be canceled.
As a reminder, the 2025 Cadillac Lyriq got a range rating increase relative to the previous model year, with RWD crossovers offering 12 miles more range. AWD Lyriqs have four less miles of range with the 11.5 kW on-board charger but, if equipped with the optional 19.2 kW charger, have range increased by 12 miles as well.
The 2025 model year also gets more horsepower, with the rear-wheel drive variant offering 25 more horsepower for a total of 365, and the all-wheel-drive configuration offering 15 greater horsepower for a total of 515. GM batteries and GM drive motor technology continue to power the vehicle, with RWD variants featuring a single motor and AWD units featuring a dual-motor configuration.
2025 Cadillac Lyriq pricing ranges from a starting MSRP of $59,990 for the Luxury 1 trim with RWD and $63,490 for the AWD Luxury 1, to the Sport 3’s starting MSRP of $68,890 with rear-wheel drive and $72,390 with all-wheel drive. These prices include a destination freight charge of $1,395, while the official online configurator is currently live.
The Cadillac Lyriq continues to ride on the GM BEV3 platform under the skin. Production takes place at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.
