About Chevy Equinox

At the beginning of the year, GM unveiled the all-new 2025 Chevy Equinox, debuting the fourth generation of its popular compact crossover. Highlights include larger screens in the cabin, many new safety features, and the new-for-2025 Activ trim level, offering a more rugged setup for outdoorsy activities. The 2025 Chevy Equinox is wider and taller than the 2024 model, with a slightly more spacious interior. It also offers rear a camera mirror and washer. Here is an exterior visual comparison of the 2025 Equinox LT vs. 2024 Equinox LT.

The new Equinox is equipped with various new tech features and benefits from the GM Global B electronic architecture. Furthermore, the updated crossover gets traffic sign recognition and offers heated wiper park.

Here are all the interior colors, plus a visual comparison of the LT vs. the LT Midnight Edition.

However, the next-generation model offers the same turbocharged 1.5L I4 LSD gasoline engine as before, placing its powertrain mid-pack among competitors. Consequently, the 2025 Equinox fuel economy ratings show it to be slightly less efficient compared to the preceding generation.

The 2025 Equinox can tow up to 1,500 pounds, with towing accessories incoming.

Pricing for the 2025 Chevy Equinox reveals a starting MSRP of $29,995 for the new base-level LT trim with front-wheel drive and $36,395 for the Activ and RS trim levels with all-wheel drive. Prices include a destination freight charge of $1,395. Check out 2025 Equinox pricing with options and packages.

Production of the 2026 Chevy Equinox is scheduled to kick off on March 17th.

  1. I finally saw one of these (clearly on a test drive) yesterday and it looks MUCH larger than the last gen. Not sure why it needs to be so wide, but I also noticed that the headlights are so far to the edges that, especially, with the added width, they’re just asking to be the victim in a parking lot mishap. Poor design on that one. Enough of these low-mounted headlights already!

    1. 2024 Equinox height: 65.4 in
      2025 Equinox height: 65.6 in
      2024 Equinox length: 183.1 in
      2025 Equinox length: 183.2 in
      2024 Equinox width: 72.6 in
      2025 Equinox width: 74.9 in

As you can see, the dimensions are close to identical, with no dimension in h/l/w differing by more than 2.5 inches. Perhaps what you saw was the Equinox EV, which is 7 inches longer and 4 inches wider than the 2024, which still isn’t that much.

    2. As Make showed it isn’t much different in size, it is a visual game with design placements to show width or height. Similar to stripes on shirts. Could have been the EV though.

Either way, lower headlights give better performance. They can be projected out further than higher mounted lights. Thought IMO the higher mounting looks better, which is why they probably kept lights up high but left the headlight down low for better light projection. It is especially better to mount them low on trucks.

  2. Not sure what clintonite arkalachians in parking lots has to do with headlight placement.

  3. Saw an Equinox in a parking lot yesterday in Cacti pictured above. It looks just as drab in person.
